You need to connect that white/blue wire directly to starter to trigger it, that's what Dustin is saying. That means you need to de-pin/splice that white blue cable and run it directly to your starter (please correct me if wrong @DustinS)

What standalone are you using?

I messaged him yesterday. ECM wasn't sending signal through. By-Passed the ECM and it cranked over.

I'm interested in what is causing the ECM not to pass the signal. I didn't have to touch mine at all and it worked. Glad he it it though.

Request how you bypassed the ecm? Been working for many days and cannot figure this out.

I'm going to be starting an ls 1 swap this month. The car was originally an automatic (another reason for the swap). Going to a manual T56. Will I need to switch to a manual ecu?

I got my starter working simply by using a jumper wire in the fuse box. Really easy solution, no splicing required. No safety switch though, turn the key and the starter cranks regardless of ECU or clutch state.
If anyone wants to know about this solution I can post a photo, I did it two years ago so I can't remember which ones I jumped without looking at it.
Basically you just bypass the relay that the ECU uses (pull it out and jump two pins) so the key switch is directly connected to the starter.

Your issue won't be anything like the original post... I would start a new topic, not in the engine swap section.
