Weird, loads just fine for me.

I'll save you the trip:

Quote:
STM Aluminum Race Exhaust

- Subaru BRZ
- Scion FR-S

The STM Aluminum Dual Exit Cat-Back Race Exhaust for BRZ & FR-S bolts to your factory-location cat or race pipe and is insanely lightweight at only 9.7 pounds!! The entire exhaust is fully 2.5" aluminum, tig welded in house. All mounting hardware is included along with Remflex graphite gaskets for a leak-free install.

Specs & Weights:
- Factory Cat-Back weighs 38 pounds!
- Save over 28 pounds!
- Weighs only 9.7 pounds!
- 3.5" Polished Exhaust Tips
- 2.5" Piping, 2.5" 2-Bolt Aluminum Flanges
- Tig Welded Aluminum
- Remflex Gaskets and Mounting Hardware included
- Made in the USA
- Bolts to stock-location cat or race pipe with 2-bolt 2.5" flange.
- Built to Order. 1-2 week production time.

IMPORTANT NOTES!
The STM Aluminum Exhaust Systems are designed for Racing! Yes, they happen to be beautiful as well, but keep in mind, they are malleable, lightweight aluminum and designed with one main goal: Performance. If you smash a speed bump... you could potentially destroy the exhaust! A simple rock on the road could crack a weld, or dent the aluminum. There is no warranty on these systems. We stand behind our product, and our whole STM team runs aluminum exhausts on the street and track and shows, but we cannot babysit each and every driver out there, so we deem these systems:
"For Off-Road Use ONLY!"

These exhausts are a race-only product and have NO WARRANTY.

If you have concerns or doubts, do not buy this system!
May be illegal to run on public highways.
Please use your discretion and drive safely.

This being said, you also know the STM Aluminum Exhaust Systems are the lightest option and compared to titanium... incredibly affordable. For the perfectionists and detailers out there, the aluminum cleans up nicely and the tips can be polished inside and out very easily. Any metal polish will buff out the shine, and a soapy "green scrubby" using a cross-hatch motion will clean the inside of the tip brilliantly.

Aren't exhaust temperatures too high for Aluminum ?

I have heard that, but can't confirm it.

What are the exhaust gas temperatures from this car?

Hmmm... I know there have been a couple of people I've seen on here with Aluminum exhausts, and they seemed to be alright.

Depending on the alloy, it should hold most of its strength out to about 500-600 Fahrenheit. After that it will lose most of its integrity. The weak point in my mind is the hangers.

I think it is an interesting option, but probably not appropriate for a DD.

Wow, that is crazy. Seems sketchy, but... I'd probably give it a try if I didn't already have an aftermarket exhaust. My main question is how much would it have weighed if they'd just kept it single-exit?

Same thought. Single exit is the best.

Bump.

I've had my lightweight exhaust for over a year now, so I don't really care about any of this anymore.

But! Because of that, I'm probably pretty out of date by now. If there's anything new out since I've updated the original post, somebody let me know. I know this thread is still useful to people, because I get stray thanks on it every now and then. Even though it's not going to affect any of my purchases, I still want to maintain it for the benefit of others. There's not many things more frustrating than finding a good but out-of-date thread on any sort of forum when you're searching hard for some raw information. I keep that in mind any time I start an information-compiling thread on any forum and so take full responsibility for maintaining it through time. Image hosting and all.

Also, here's a little video I threw together about my exhaust. My setup is over a year old and I'm still very happy with it. But it does sound like fuck. The one thing I forgot to put in the table of contents is that the wide open throttle sound is at 6:25. Hope this helps somebody somewhere.

After watching that video, I'm glad I ditched my 60R. It sounds so good, but it's way too obnoxious when you get catless headers. Although, now I've went and bought the TF-Works race exhaust, so it's probably going to be just as bad haha
