A safe amount of tire/brake life left. The track is pretty easy on tires, but while you're getting used to the lines is when you'll get most of the wear.
You may want to bring a set of driving gloves. I only felt they were needed my last session as the wheel started to feel crumbly.
Show up no later than 6 so you don't miss the drivers meeting.



They didn't check my helmet to see if it was Snell 2000+ or not, so you could get away with it, but keep in mind that if they decide to make a stink about it, you MAY be S.O.L. You can get a Skorpion EXO-400 for around $200 (I've seen closeouts at $99) if you need a Snell rated helmet, otherwise if you think you'll be doing this for awhile, spring the money for an Arai or a Shoei if your budget can take the hit ($300-$800 depending on model).

ECE is the European equivalent of the Snell rating here in the U.S. Mine is an AGV carbon fiber shell. I guess it should be ok lol

I know what ECE is, and I know how anal-retentive certain members of the SCCA can be in regards to a helmet label. I'm sure you'll be fine, but know that if they want to throw a stink, they could. That being said, I'd bet you could get away with a non-snell helmet altogether and as long as it didnt look too old, they'd never question it.

So I think this will be the final meet times and places for the drive to Vegas Friday morning.

East side group meet at the pavs at 6:30

Then to arrowhead mall to pic up remaining peeps on the other side of town. We should be at arrowhead by 7:15ish. Then to Vegas we go.

SCCA has nothing to do with those events, and there is nothing wrong with being anal retentive when it comes to safety and cars.

If you guys know anyone looking to make some extra cash I'm looking for someone to wire up some manual gages and toggle switches in my Bronco. I just don't have the time to get it done. I will also supply the beer for anyone looking to spend an afternoon messing with it.
