Just chiming in again to say THIS is how a product should be developed. A "public" development process will get @Mishimoto a lot of support. Other companies take note!

Well done folks.

Our intake is being designed with intake temperatures, airflow and overall performance in mind. We do not perform direct comparisons with any competitor products, just the factory components. This product is designed completely by our team of engineers. We should have some testing results very soon.

Thank you very much! As enthusiasts ourselves, we find our development processes to be quite interesting so we assumed groups like FT86club would as well. It is very neat to see exactly what goes into the making of aftermarket components you are putting on your vehicle.

Yes sir! Put maybe 600 miles on it and already seeing oil in the lines. Everyone should have one! Not to mention it spiced up the bay!

Great to hear! If you have time, it would be great if you could send me a picture of the catch can installed. Interested to see where/how you have it mounted.

Thanks

Has anyone made a CAI with an Air Straightener?
I know my FA20club CAI doesn't have one, I've looked inside of A Perrin CAI, nada, TRD nope.

Based on their thread it will not be a CAI, their testing uses the factory snorkel

The factory snorkel pulls air from the exact same place as the Perrin, so, yes, it is a CAI. Any intake that pulls air from outside the engine compartment is a cold air induction. It doesn't matter if the filter is at the end or in the middle of the intake tract.

When you say "already seeing oil in the lines" do you actually see oil in the lines running to and from the engine or your only seeing oil in the lines running from the engine?
