The beefed up alunimum drive shaft weighs 12lbs, stock two piece drive shaft is easily double that....same diff.,... I do have Drive Shaft Shop beefed up axles...Ill take a 10lbs penalty there....more fluids?...maybe, if so the lighter drive shaft easily cancels that out.

A fully dressed, dry LS1 + T56 without the exhaust manifolds weighs about 610lbs. The T56 alone is about 125lbs dry. The stock flywheel and clutch is pretty heavy too, about 30-40lbs IIRC. Subtract a few pounds for the power steering stuff that we don't need, so it probably is about a 90lb increase. The bulk of that weight is low, so I don't think it would throw off the CG by much at all. But that's just by eyeballing placement of the engine/transmission.

Lots of info.
They will keep it up to date.
They also state they understand the interest in their swap.
They will let us know, There.
Don't call them, let them work.

Also for pics

Something that I found very curious and disappointing about this car and how they missed the mark in the powertrain quoted below by Mr Fair at Vorshlag.

" All this high tech wizardry doesn't magically make this 2 liter engine produce awesome levels of power, however. Even the 1999-era Honda S2000's F20C engine made 240 hp with 2 liters, normal pressure EFI, and 11:1 compression. The 2013 FR-S makes 200 hp with the same displacement, Direct Injection and a higher compression ratio. When measured the FA20 is making about 160-170 whp, and the chassis dyno measurement shown below on one of our tester's stock 2013 BRZ is typical. "

You need to also compare horsepower rating equivalently. The way engines were measure changed in 2005. Many cars "made less power" under the new regulations due to the way they were tested. Now technically they cant make less power but the way the numbers were achieved was changed to make them more accurate. So 240 crank horsepower pre-2005 may be 220 now. Only testing two cars on the same dyno will tell you what is what.
