Monday night finally came around and it was finally time to test the new brakes and tyres out at Barbagallo raceway. But to my badluck, it has been heavily raining all morning. First thing I thought was R-comps don't perform well at all in the wet and that the long awaited track night would of been ruined.
By the time we arrived to the track it was starting to clear and and the track partially drying up. Boy do the A050's hook up so well and the amount of grip is phenomenal. I quickly started to warm the tyres up and started to push new cornering speeds and later braking markers. It grips extremely well and the brakes clamp down so well that wiping of huge speeds is no longer a problem. The new upgrades are definitely one of my favourite mods to date. I also managed to smash 5 seconds of my previous PB on long track with still plenty of room for more improvements as well. Really stoked with the new PB and the outcome from the upgrades. Soon after having only 5 runs on while the track was semi decent it started to rain again I actually learned alot more driving in the wet compared to being kinda careless when its dry which increased some of my driving etiquette and bad habits like smooth throttle control. My fears of R-comps being 'too dangerous' in the wet has been cleared as I found the A050's to still grip reasonable well when it poured down with rain. I would even maybe argue they could of been better in the wet than the previous AD08R's. Time Attack addiction has begun Next up will be researching a new LSD and carbon drive shaft option

Get some Varis Arising I side skirts, it would match your setup since you already have the arising II rear bumper. So far this is the only other car i've found beside mine and the A.C.E demo car with the front canards, I love mine!

Been a busy past few weeks with collecting a few more new parts whilst enjoying a holiday to Seoul, Tokyo and Bangkok.
First thing that arrives after the holiday is my new set of Enkei GTC01RR wheels. They will serve as track beater wheels as it's a PITA to strip the R-comps after every track event, so a second pair of wheels was the best choice. The Enkei's are 18x9.5 +35 wrapped in Advan A050 Medium comps. I had the new wheels 'glass' hardened and protected to help keep them brake dust clean, and also installed a TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system). Nice and clean from a wash just before track night [/IMG] And the icing on the cake would be the arrival of the new ECU. I'm currently running a EcuTek with no issues so far, but I'm looking to have further insight to indepth logging with further superior control. Ended up ordering the top of the line MoteC M150 with FA20 PNP harness, GPS, LTC + lambda LSU 4.9 sensor and a rotary switch. Just playing around with the MoTeC M1 software is simply mind blowing, the options are endless, really looking forward to doing some proper logging and accurate race data control. Will be also interested to see how antilag is like on a turbo FA20 lol. Should have the MoTeC installed and tuned in the coming week or two so stay posted. and abit of a teaser of whats next on the cards

The 86 will become more and more of a track toy soon enough so why not just start with one of the best data acquisition systems available. Do it @DustinS, your track twin needs it

Really digging your voltex swan neck. I'm also looking at a voltex wing for my spare boot, undecided if I'll go the swan or the usual mounts

Theyre both great. I went swan because of a good deal but I definitely don't regret it.
