If you get the premium version. Base model ecoboost with track package and recaro seats is under $30k.

Sad that the Mustang is only a viable option when you live in the US definitely not worth their money in the rest of the world... still not my kind of car though..

and the old v6 mustang is faster than an sti. not all the money is spent on performance.

Are we time-warping now? The normal 2014 WRX is faster than this ecoboost Stang which is 3 seconds faster than the old V6 stang.

Obviously not all of it but these 'track pack' Stangs in both ecoboost and GT seem to end up being close $15K over base somehow. If you care to breakdown the percentage of that going into performance and the rest going who knows where feel free.

Yeah you are correct.

EcoBoost with only performance (track) package is $27990 before delivery.

Pretty decent price. If they could make it go on a diet and weigh less than 3400lbs it might be worth considering.

Well it is also a Ford product. Within a year you will be finding these for thousands under invoice. Of course along with that comes big depreciation, so if you are someone who does not keep a car 5 years or more you have to take that into account. I know Edmunds paid like $28K for a loaded Focus ST and one year later it was worth $19K when they sold it used.

A car like a WRX is not going to depreciate that much at all after a year.

That ecoboost puts down 5.2 to 60, and 13.9 in the quarter. Not too shabby for a 4 banger and a heavy ass car.

It's pretty much identical to the previous generation V6 Mustang.

LOL, you have a point actually. This 310-hp/320TQ, the V6 (still) has 300/280 and is a bit slower. But last years V6 was as fast this....wtf?

Not really, the times are slightly different because the ecoboost has 40 ft/lb more torque and it depends of we're referring to v6 performance pack vs eco boost performance pack regardless the eco boost is still quicker

The context of a "4 banger" is lost once you add snails or screws. The equivalent displacement approaches that of a V6 or even V8 depending on the amount of boost.

Edit: I see you noticed that later on. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=347

Well thats the thing. The V6 has NOT changed and putting down worse times than the turbo version. However, LAST years V6 put down almost IDENTICAL times as the ecoboost. Inconsistent....weird.
