ej25 compatibility with our transmission

I know its a huge longshot, and an incredibly stupid question.

But would they mate without a custom bellhousing?

I know someone selling a jdm ej25 ver 7 for a REALLY good price so I figured Id ask.

Any help is appreciated!

I'm still kinda surprised with all the swaps going on no one has done a proper street EJ build here yet. It would be a great project.

Because the EJ engine is inferior in almost every way compared to the FA20?

The ej207 is not inferior from a durability perspective.

the fa20 is a time bomb the moment you put a turbo kit on it. Its just a matter of time before they pop

I can source a complete ej25 for less than most turbo kits and make reliable 350-400 hp and more torque than a boosted fa20 would make.

The only thing the fa20 is better at is better at is fuel efficiency

The FA20 is better in pretty much every aspect than an EJ aside from the fact that its an open deck.

I was more talking about how cheap and proven street or even full comp EJ builds are. I saw a few teams have run them for drift or drag comps.

Having had a 2011 WRX and being on Nasioc, its pretty safe to say there have been many more threads about blown motors stock on those cars than these.
