Do you live in an area with terrible roads and stuff? I'd think you be safer without a lip and a the stock ride height. Worst comes to worst if you're really afraid tape the darn thing like 5 times. You'll be ok.

Good idea. I live and drive on a lot of hilly roads with high sharp inclines. I hope duct tape can handle the scrapes and won't leave any residue behind. If I can drive it for awhile on my regular routes without any issues then I can wait on the lip at a later date.

Those Painter Blue tape work well you just have to layer it alittle this is what people do at AutoX and Track. Duct tape and clear tape will leave residue for sure!

If you are worried about driving off the lot without a STi lip on a stock suspension then you are gonna have a bad time!

By the time an STi version comes out I'd be older and with enough money to go for nicer cars anyway. Just gonna stick with my MY15 forever and pay someone to do a swap if I ever get bored of the performance :P

As for the MY17.. I really want the dash trim that surrounds the radio. Been looking on the subaru parts site and it isnt up yet (the listing for that piece when you pick MY17 says its for MY16)

I'm actually still trying to figure out that dash part, sometimes I see carbon fiber, sometimes I see piano gloss black. And wonder which is it, or if one is an option over the other etc.

In these pics it looks like leather with red stitching? I could be going nuts.

I believe he's speaking of the climate control panel trim, that is to say the material that backs the panel. In the Japanese review video it looked gloss piano black, but in other places it seems like faux CF.

Oh oops, thought he meant the stereo trim. Ive seen pics of that being piano black and an entirely different shape.

So looking forward to that first scrape and cringing at the thought of my new car no longer scratch-free. Oh well...my STi only suffered scrapes from parking stops. If it's only a few inches shorter on the BRZ then I THINK I'll be fine.

I've scraped a few times and dont even give a crap, not like its ever visible anyway. What sucks is when you get your first door dings, or assholes parking by braille.
