Thank you for that. We try to be competitive and profitable. I think most of us understand that logic.

Feel free to shoot me a JDM part and we can see where it goes on price.

I guess as someone that's been in the suspension business for more than 10 years (holy crap) I don't really care about JDM vs. USDM vs. EDM. None of them are inherently better or super magical simply because of where they came from.

Quality and perceived quality are different. You can make a really pretty looking coilover with decent exterior build quality and awesome marketing and it can still suck. And it can still be expensive! OR it can just not be a good fit for your application.

Unfortunately the import community has a lot of people who either don't care or who just don't know what good parts really are or what makes sense for their car. Not much anyone can do about those who don't care. But it is great to see people taking an interest in their hobby and educating themselves. It's very encouraging.

I'm after knowledge, honesty, and quality. Not copycat parts, fake parts, misleading marketing, incorrect marketing, and bullshit. Just good stuff that works.

Also some RS Watanabe wheels for my Datsun.

So most people want cheap over quality.

It's far easier to be social over cheap parts than to buy nice parts that don't get used. What we really want is available, legal, seat time. It's incredibly hard to find.
Dude, you're in Milwaukee! I'm like an hour south in the suburbs of Chicago, we are located in one of the best spots in the country for motorsports enthusiasts! There are tracks everywhere. You're like an hour from one of the most legendary race tracks in the US! There are another 3 road courses in IL. Then you've got Gingerman in Michigan, and even more tracks if you care to venture further. You're in a really great spot for available, legal, steat time.

I want a quiet single-exit catback exhaust that isn't a fart cannon.

According to @mav1178 the Blitz Nür-Spec F-Ti is actually pretty quiet, but also super expensive. I'm pretty interested in the CLEiB single-exit myself. Seems fairly quiet, and looks great. Turned down tips =

Like many in this thread, I'm after seat time but I'm realistic about my skill level so besides that, I like parts that do 90% of what the high end stuff does at 50% of the cost. I say this comparing things like ACE header to Borla header or Ohlins R&T to Tein Flex A.

I realize that getting a podium placement means being willing to pay the premium for that last 10% but I'm not nearly fast enough to stand on a podium either way so I just can't justify paying for it.

I like the design of the LegSport axleback, but I'm not fond of titanium (real or otherwise) exhaust tips.

I agree 100% with this. Although my borla headers are not even close to 90% what the ace ones seem to be hahaha! But for the price I got them for you can't beat it!

Never knew, I spent my childhood in a crowded city where having an automobile is a dream to many, let alone bringing it to the race track. You have to be very wealthy.

Now I try to run my car whenever I can, autox or track.

I am so sad I don't have a track ! I grew up at an oval track in BC as a kid. My dad used to race so I was there every weekend, and I got to help him in the shop every day after school haha!

I'm within 2 hours from Shannonville, Mosport and Calabogie. I went to Shannonville and Calabogie this year and both were great but I'd love to go to Mosport next year. Would love to drive on the GT track but it's really expensive and would blow my track budget for the year by itself so probably not going to happen but I plan to make it out to the DDT on some cheap day and meet some Toronto bros.
