That makes me very happy
I've had an obnoxiously Loud 4 banger eclipse for a long time and I don't exactly want that in my next car. If I can keep the car as quiet as stock, or close to that quiet, I'd be very happy |

Couple of thoughts
1) that's getting up there in terms of boost on stock internals is it not? In my uneducated brain, I'd be scared with anything over 10. How is that motor holding up? 1a) how is the sound in your cabin, especially longer drives? . . I know the turbos themselves act as sound mufflers, so I may be worried too much about cabin drone so any input on that aspect is appreciated 2) if he had the wider diameter exhaust, could you run less boost but get the same power level? My goal is to run the gtx2867r between 300-350 whp as a daily driver for 5 or so years until I either build or swap the motor (dream might be a better word than goal as I don't even own the car yet, lol) |

1a) Depends on your exhaust With the recirculated dump tube and a non-obnoxious exhaust, it is fairly quiet. 2) Wide exhaust is needed for higher whp. I don't see you getting away with much extra gains if you lower the boost and go with a 3" exhaust. First step, buy the car. You can speculate all you want but we have tuned many stock motors to 400wp and they continue to beat on them and daily drive them with no issues. We have seen more issues due to having a built motor than due to the stock internals not holding up. The key thing is a good tune and if you drive the vehicle like a teenager or not. |

Thanks for the replies Freddie! I really appreciate it. I plan on giving you guys over 10k in about a year for the turbo and all the supporting mods. I'm sure I'll have more questions for your team.

PTuning make's some real nice stuff so you're on the right track. I'm going with their kit and I know several people who wish they went this route instead of competitors. Since you're in dayton, you should join the Ohio 86 facebook page so you can talk with myself and other members who are really knowledgeable! See you around.

Feel free to ask me any questions directly as well. One of the first production V2 turbo systems on my car and I absolutely love it.
I was pretty close to maxing N/A, moved on to a pretty high HP SC, and now run the PTUNING kit so I have some great perspectives on all of the above. Cheers! |
