I'm hoping for an aftermarket Scion logo, like the one the original concept car had above the plate!

Wide wheel does not mean more traction. To a first approximation the size of contact patch is the same (for the same tire pressure) and determined by car weight. Wider wheels mostly change the shape of the contact patch. To a second approximation, wider wheels will have a slighter larger tire patch, since the sidewalls could carry slightly less load (again, for the same sidewall stiffness).

I'm pretty sure wider wheels in general means more traction, all else being equal.

Basically this:

Skinny tires are good for grip in a straight line. Wide tires are good for grip in corners. If you stagger the tires, (bigger in rear) the car will have more understeer, and be less neutral.

All else is never equal. If you take the same make/model of the tire, and one is wider, the deformation stress on the tire will already be different.
Typically going wider lets you use softer compound with less stress on it. And it's the softer compound that gives you better traction, not the shape of contact patch.

so make it simple, better traction... which pretty much I have stated.

Make it simple - want more traction = buy softer-compound tires.

If you buy just wider tires, with the same or harder compound - you'll just alter the balance, w/o getting more grip.

That's not the question he was asking, did he?

Ok but still what is that box like structure between the resonator and cat? Perhaps an easy way to alter the sound similar to the mustang boss?

I know for certain that wider tires reduce wheel hop. Reducing wheel hop would help prevent in loss of power during acceleration and save your diff.
