Instead of doing that, comparing price, specs,hp,weight and such, the poster instead brought up Toyota's history over Hyundai when talking about the new gc. How does the history of the company matter when comparing two brand new cars, it doesn't. The same way comparing the 98 Cardinals to the Arizona Cardinals of today is irrelevant and stupid.
history is experience, and brand cachet. the dodgers sucked in 2011 and will probably suck in 2012, but they are worth far more than the angels because of their BRAND. i'm not discrediting the genesis, it is a great car for what it is. but the hyundai brand does not have the cachet of toyota, even if toyota hasn't made anything sporty for the last 15 years. and yes, i am a fan boy and there ain't nothin wrong with that. SO DON'T HATE

haha i would never hate on you cyde i just mean again the 1998 dodgers have nothing to do with the team now that has none of the same people. Meaning because a old Toyota car is good does not mean the new one will be awesome as well.

yeah but what i am saying is the 2012 dodgers are mediocre while the 2012 angels are a championship caliber team, but the la dodgers franchise is worth way more than the la angels TODAY. Why? Because they won in 55, 59, 63, 65 80, and 88 and were historically the better team until the 2000s. They are gonna sell for a world record price for a sports franchise next month. Even with pujols, the angels are hyundai in comparison when it coms to legacy, tradition.

if we went by a brand's history as a measuring tool for it's refinement, then FORD should have been making flying cars fueled by garbage waste by now.

I like Toyota, i don't particulary like Subaru (after owning one), i'd prefer if VW made this car, but in the end it really doesnt matter so long as this particular one doesnt fall apart and delivers smiles.
