@#$# Birds!

Argh!

Went out at lunch today to show someone the car. Some bird had initiated the right front fender right above the 86 logo! It was an aerial attack as I wasn't parked under anything where it could have been perched above.

All cleaned off but man, I mean really? Another first for an FR-S in Georgia I guess.

Told my wife I was going to need a new gun.

Beautiful! I'm expecting mine later this week. It should have been here last weekend but was delayed. Dealer said they would be giving me something special as compensation.

Get a bottle of detailer and some towels. I keep a set in my bmw for the bird poop occasions. I was hit by a whole tree's worth of birds in one time. The entire car was covered in it.

Ive told my wife that the clean half of the garage is mine, and Ive scouted clear parking positions at the office to try and avoid this(no trees, light poles etc.)

I came out to my new spot last week and a bird was just sitting there on the top of my car right behind the a-pillar pooping on my door.
Cant escape them. Im sure the same will happen when I get an FR-S

MomHawk told me I could have the other half of the garage when its cleaned out. Unfortunately couldn't get to it this weekend. Working on it tonight.

Yep, it had to happen sooner or later.

I would think it was only the tires if you hadn't admitted to "giving it a little throttle in the corners." I'd even hazard to guess that it was a mixture of too much throttle on cheap tires.

That's really interesting that the back end would be so squirrely. All my cars had to be pushed(half throttle) to even think of deviating during torrential rains.

Guess I should clarify, in each case, I was making an intersection turn from a near dead stop, either left or right, and giving it enough throttle to get the car moving, not driving enthusiastically. Since those events though, I haven't been able to reproduce it.

I'm chalking it up to new tires and new driver at this point. One of the first things they teach you in flight school is being able to admit possible pilot error!

I'm enjoying the hell out of this car!
