Remember to activate it. It comes inactive from the factory.

is there a fee to activate it? i recall seeing some guy post a receipt for activation and it was probably a few hundred dollars. kinda ridiculous imo, but then again on that same receipt they charged him tinting for $900!

yes, if do it yourself and don't ask the dealer about it because they don't seem to know that the alarm comes off from the factory.(but I believe only the Limited has the alarm)

Mine does that and a red flashing padlock looking icon flashes on the cluster. I think it means it is active.

Alarm maybe comes in disabled because the car could find itself in a showroom or something. For your sake don't assume its activated if you haven't done anything to enable it, at least confirm for yourself. Think the manual covers this.

that's weird... I locked the car with the window down, waited and opened it using the interior handle and the alarm went off...

Get the Viper 5904 alarm system! I have it! I'm the only scion frs to have it apparently! I freaking love this system! It texts me when someone's near my car. I can turn on my car. If someone is using it see where they are and how fast it's a lot of cool stuff!
