I noticed yesterday that my always-on module isn't working as expected any longer. I'll have to check the wiring, but the DRLs are VERY dim (almost appear to be off) as well as the boomerang.

I'll try to post back if I can figure things out.

Thank you,
Nick C.

I think it's working properly with the open plug.

I just couldn't tell that the boomerangs were event lit when i was looking at them after install (in the blazing California sun)

I could see them lit in my reflection on the car in front of me in my commute this morning. Although they seem dimmer then when the headlight is on.

Its supposed to run at 50% with the headlight active and 100% as DLR alone correct?

This module uses PWM dimming in order to automatically dim the DRLs to 50% power when you turn on your headlamps, just like many OEM vehicles, so the DRL isn't too bright at night.

Is this for looks only or is there any increase in light output at night?

This product has no effect on the output of the OEM components, it merely changes their behavior.

Thanks!

Hi Nick,

I've had my module for just over a year and the LHS stopped functioning. I sent you guys an email but didn't get a response, same with a follow-up a few weeks later.
The second has now gone out so the Boomerangs don't come on full-stop anymore.
I've just decided to send a new email to you guys (since I'm over in Australia, calling isn't really practical).

Andrew

Not sure if it has been answered, but does this module do anything for 17+ model years?

Good question!

The 2017+ BRZ doesn't utilize lower DRLs like previous model years. There's nothing to keep "Always-On" with the 2017+ models.

Thanks!

Glad you asked. I purchased one of these before asking that same question.

I have a 17 and have no use for it, so it has been in my trunk.

I would at least like to keep my DRLs at 100% when I have the hand brake pulled. I'd love to be able to see my own DRLs at full brightness, maybe to take pics or whatever, without having to find a perfectly flat spot to park.

We have no immediate plans to do so, but our engineering team is always looking into new solutions.

Thanks!
