I hate to admit it, but I traded in my old Hyper.Blue #191 436 for another #282 527. A local dealer had a Hyper.Blue with all the parts I wanted already installed. I got a heck of a deal and am now the proud owner of a Hyper.Blue with an Edelbrock supercharger. I'm really enjoying the extra power.

Do I have the first Hyper Blue BRZ built?

Hey guys I just picked up my Hyper Blue BRZ from New Jersey this July, and I went searching around to see where other HBBRZ's were at. Thats when I stumbled upon this post listing [URL="http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103271"] that shows that my Vin #220 was the first HB BRZ made for corporate purposes to show the car off I would assume. Anyways just thought I would share.

Names Anthony,
I live in Wisconsin
Last 3 are 220
and this is my Summer fun/autocross car.

Its also my first manual and I love it so much, looking forward to doing more things with the subaru community.

Awesome! Where did you get it from?

In terms of production date and VIN, it looks like you do have the first HyperBlue. I put the corporate ones on the bottom because we have no idea what Subaru does to them but at least it is included in the count of 504!

Welcome to the club!

Thanks nice to be here. I flew to New Jersey to get it from a dealership with only like 4000 miles on it at the end of July. Drove it back to Wisconsin and was about to roll 10k before I put it away for the winter. Not used to the whole car storage thing, but it seems only right to preserve the car as best I can. Especially since I have the means to do so now.

I did find out that my car was used as a show car by Subaru, which I thought was pretty cool. Just wish they would have told me about the couple of dents on it before I purchased it. Cost me like $400 to get the car back to mint condition.

So far the only things I've done to it are get a Billetworks hyperblue BRZ shiftknob and put some bridgestone re-71r tires on it to if everything goes well use in autocross next year.

Hey friends,

Long time no post. Just wanted to give an update - fell on some hard time and had to let the car go. Parted it mostly out, however, time came down to the wire to get rid of the car and I let it go with the aftermarket fenders I had. So, if you wind up seeing a HB w/ VF Fenders for sale, feel free to come my way for some information. From the VIN, it looks like it was just ran through an auction in DC on the 7th, so I'd expect to see something shortly pop-up.

As far as my 86 Experience: this is where it ends. Being 23, this was really the first car I had the pleasure of working on myself and actually building/modifying. From the FR-S I first owned, to the HyperBlue BRZ, it was a fun experience going from learning how to install simple things like an air intake & coil overs to complex things like installing my Sprintex Supercharger kit SEVERAL times over, tuning, and air suspension (rip). I could still break this car down with my eyes closed at this point. I wanted to thank everyone that helped me with information on the forums, @Tcoat and @BirdTRD in particular have been extremely helpful in all of my en devours and I cannot thank those guys enough.

As far as what's next? Who knows.

Recently moved from Maryland up to Pennsylvania and started working for a company that specializes in all year Mustangs.. so maybe you'll see me an S550 soon.. hitting a crowd or two (lol!)

As far as to how my build ended:

It isn’t a production one. It is his car in the pic. Look at the upper right side of the card and it says who made it. Get ahold of them.

Welcome to the newcomers I've missed.

Happy to see the graveyard hasn't grown much in the 6-8 months I've been away from this place. Not much to report for me, just been taking it easy on spending on the car and the turbo kit has done me damn well for the past year. I'm moving to VA soon so I think after I get settled, I'm going to let IAG borrow my short block for a little while and let them perform their magic on it.

Sad to see you go @Rifle, I always liked seeing your updates when I had time to actually look at forums. Hope you find what you're looking for in your next ride.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to drop by and give an update on car #323. The car is currently at 6k miles. Installed a catless Revworks uel, berk muffler delete, and Tein Flex Z coils last summer. Had a few other things here and there but mostly just drove the car and enjoyed it. Because of the new suspension I kept the oem tires mounted to see if there was any crazy wear issues.

This summer I plan to install my 225/45/17 MPSS and tune the car for e85 using the oft. Come spring I'll be swapping engine, transmission, and differential fluid with Motul products I picked up a few weeks back. Hopefully I can find my way onto the track this summer!

-Tony

Ps. I don't have any photos of it on the car yet, but my new vanity plate came in and I had to share it here too.
