Actually, they've already been "ordered". The paperwork was filled out and signed with an agreed "Price = MSRP" (or at least, that's what my price was).

Nothing been ordered yet from what I hear. You can't place an order until pricing is released. But since these are the first 86 and if they have already been ordered why are people complaining? It can take up to 3 months to get a car after its been ordered!

Congrats to all of y'all! Y'all are lucky and should be patient! It takes time to build an awesome car. Most car companies don't release pricing until you are able to place a real order. That is why pricing was released in Japan and in the UK.

Which didnt work because scion dealers/employees were not allowed to get a car personally, which is why they released the first 86 program without letting dealers know first, to keep it fair....My dealership was completely unaware of the program, which was the whole point....

I am glad my Scion sales manager was a FR-S follower, who knew as much as I did about the car as I did, and was aware of this program even if he did not receive any official Scion correspondence.

I have heard about other people going to their local dealer to inquire about the FR-S only to receive a glassy eyed look followed by "we don't have any of those but let me show you a tC".

I was just thinking, it's going to be odd having the only FRS in the area for awhile. I imagine I'll be spending a lot of time answering peoples questions and getting lots of looks and thumbs up. Also probably need to monitor the rear view mirror so no one follows me home and tries to jack my car.

86 days earlier, if they really wanna play with numbers i think thats what we should get :P


And being upset about the promotion isnt a reason to drop off, we are whining (well I personally) am whining because they got my hopes up then are just letting me suffer, not even a trickle of information...throw me a bone man, a price a date, if you cant give me the car right now at least tell us when...or they should have made the promotion happen later, closer to the time of release...unmet expectations fuel the negativity!

nonetheless, it will be awesome to have, someday soon!

lol, they want the free publicity, just drive at night and debadge it and say you dont speak english when asked, or waive your arms frantically shouting "aliens brought me here", that'll drive em away

If this car has the same theft problems as my type R i will be selling it, thats my only complaint, i cant deal with all that drama again, my 97 had removable steering wheel with lock, 3kill switches, 1k alarm system and a gps tracker, and a wheel boot.....and i still couldnt sleep at nignt...

Only itr guys will understand, it was too much trouble....


I dont mind answering questions from strangers though, and i cant imagine what the ricers will say but hey its part of the deal
