WHAT DID YOU SCREW UP TODAY?

This is the opposite of "WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR FRS TODAY?". This thread is for people who did something stupid to their car today and willing to admit and learn from it. This is for those who hit the trunk cancel button, curbed their car, mis-installed a part, left a bolt loose, or anything else you accidentally screwed up

Nothing is too small or too big We can all have a laugh or two. We're only human

---

Today I did something stupid while waiting at a left turn signal. When the signal turned green, I went and then I turned my wheel a bit too early and the curb had a nice chunk of metal for breakfast out of my rear left rim. I guess I was still stuck in morning zombie mode trying to get to work. Coooffeeeeee.....

Quite embarrassing...

I guess I'll post a pic later tonight.

I let my mom drive my car spiritedly for mothers day yesterday. She's a real sports car enthusiast. However she's been driving an suv for too long and bottomed out leaving my parents house. Lol damnit.

On Saturday I installed the Berk muffler delete. Cut the stock rubber exhaust hangars off before realizing that the Berk piece didn't come with any. Had to zip tie up the muffler piece while I drove to the local parts store and back

I love the idea of this thread.

Installed the Jpm Coachworks handbrake cover... I laid the part over the template on the back to line it up, but the edges still came up short on one side. After install I noticed you can see the white edge of the Alcontra and there are two red threads just kinda sticking up in the air facing the rear because that edge isn't tucked in.

Too lazy to take it out, re-adhesive and fix it right now.

I got high centered in the exit door of a car wash. I had just lowered my car the day before and didn't realize how low it actually was! I was going slow enough that I didn't cause any damage under the car but with a wet floor a no weight on my rear tires I was stuck. A guy washing his truck was nice enough to come over and give me a push and we managed to rock it back into the car wash and I took an angled approach to get out!

Not today but I had to make a quick u turn and didn't quite make it as it was a tight road. I put the car in reverse and let out the clutch and the car lurched forward into brush on the side of the road!

it was pretty terrifying to say the least.... I learned my lesson no more quick u turns and slow and deliberate with the reverse clip. I have a bunch of nicks on the front of the car still have to take it to a body shop :-(

I put tire gloss on my tires, THEN went to a car wash.

I dunno why I did that
