I refuse.
The spring rate is too high and/or there is too much preload. Of course, maybe you're running a million pounds of boost and need a higher spring rate, but in any case it's still compressor surge not a "fluttering" BOV. |

BOVs that flutter are the result of improper spring load tension on the BOV. Which will cause a compression surge. I had it on my 300zx and S14 before i realized i was doing it wrong. Iv heard Tial, Syntronic, HKS SSQ and Greddy Type S, even the TurboXS HFL series all flutter when not set up properly.
Sample; [u2b]jEUWEsqoWz8[/u2b] Wastegate flutter can happen, but usually only happen DURING load from what i remember from some Group B cars running open wastegate with improper wastegate spring loads. The FRS drift car sounds like an EJ that hasn't been tuned yet. It sounds like its struggling for air, based on my experience, especially with that revs not sounding very happy. So very unlikely that it is a TURBO FA20, but still possible.

+1
This is what I was wondering too! Perhaps this might be the GReddy turbo kit that they are testing since they already had the black FR-S modified on the release day.

No care no more, I'm not even running HKS currently. Running a completely new and different setup that works great. |

I wonder if that "maybe" consists of testing both the performance and sound level testing @ Laguna!
