Hey guys I got st coils on my car yesterday and I'm planning on putting the new wheels sometime this weekend. I'll be running 18x8.5 in the front +38 and 18x9.5 +25 in the rear (massive change in offset I know, but the wheels I have are discontinued and darn near impossible to find that match
.. They're XXR 522) anywho, what tires sizes would you recommend I go with? I was thinking 225/40/18 in the front and 245/40/18 in the rear. Will that work or should I go with a different size? Also will I need to roll my rear fenders since the wheels will be coming out more? Or will I be Okay?

Good thing too, I almost bought them today... I was so set on 9.5 square.

I know beggars can't be choosers but I would really like a nice concaved wheel while staying square (Now I'm back to the drawing board). Any ideas? Would 17x9s be better?
I have the 18x9.5 square setup - tires are ordered but I still don't have them mounted on the car. I don't believe there will be any poke (or very minimal at most) with camber and coilovers, but I think you said you were staying stock suspension?

If so, you're probably best off with 17x9 or 18x9 wheels at the widest to not poke, maybe even an 8"-8.5" wheel if staying stock height. The concave face is unfortunately hard to find in less wide wheels, which is why I went ahead with the 18x9.5 square setup. I never could find info on the face of the 17x9 Kojin wheel. If that's concave then that may be your best bet (and would still look really good).

Yeah I'm going stock so 9.5's are going to be out of the question. I'm just going to have to settle with 8.5's for now. Enkei TY5's Thanks for the help.

I'm a newbie when it comes to wheels. As far as size of wheels, offset and such how big can I go without having to upgrade suspension? Gonna keep stock suspension for now. Can I go 17x9 or even 18x8? I'd appreciate some advice. Thanks in advance.

Ok... So I've got a 2017 on TRD lowering springs. I'm planning 17x9 245/40 for the wheels/tires and I want to be flush in the back with a square setup so I know that I'm going to have a bit of poke in the front but what kind of offset do I need to be looking for +35? +38?

Hi,

I am looking at 17" 8.5 wheels. They come in +32 or +42 offset. I am aiming to go 1" lower on coilovers.

Looking at the flush offset guide, this suggests I should choose +42 for the front and +32 for the rear.

What I don't quite know is whether a different offset front and back will make the handling worse? I want the handling to remain unaffected, so should I just go for +42 for both front and rear?

OR....would a different offset actually make handling better? Sorry to be a noob.

If so, the Work Meister Setup you've posted above will differ from the TE37SL fittment as follows:

Front -> Work wheels will be 2mm more "inside"
Rear -> Work wheels will be 3mm more "outside"

So nothing wrong with the figures you've posted with the work meister wheels. If you did like the TE37SL fittment, you will like the Work fittment (I doubt you will notice the 2-3mm difference once their are mounted)

hope this helps. Cheers
Do you think it'd be better if I went 18x9.5 +43 in the rears to match the +40? or should I risk doing the +37, I don't want the rim to poke out too much or not enough

Pretty sure I've decided on 17x8 +35 OZ Ultraleggera wheels (black) wrapped in 225/45/R17 Michelin Pilot Super Sports for my 2017 BRZ Limited PP. Will these be an okay choice and clear my Brembos just fine? Want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything before dropping $1,700.

Honestly, its so little difference that its hard to say without seeing it.

Go from your TE37SL Setup, if you liked it, go for the +37 offset as originally posted. Those 2/3mm will not be noticable once fitted to the car. if you did not like the TE37SL fitting, go fromt here, so if it poked to much, get a higher offset, if it was sunk in, get a lower offset

Wheel and tiresizes are good and a nice sporty, however not to beefed up look.

I have no experience with the Brembos, however I'm pretty sure it will be no issues with this size

Handling will be affected either way. But if you want to stay close to stock, you want equal offsets front and rear. I would tell you to go with the +32 all around for looks. +42 will behave closer to stock but not look as good/flush. Either setup will fit, just do your own research on how width(offset) affects handling. Or just follow my advice and go with the +32, I doubt you'll regret it.

Either will work. 3mm is 3mm... such a small measurement... everyone's definition of flush is different. I'd look at pics and decide from there. I'd personally go with the +35.

Looking to make my first wheel and tire purchase and I was wondering if you guys could help me out to see if this would fit. Currently lowered on Tein Flex Z coilovers.
Wheels I'm looking to get are 18x9.5 +34 offset.
Planning on wrapping them in 245/35/18 Federal 595RSR-R.
I'm looking to get a meaty fitment that's flush with the fenders but don't want to deal with the hassle of rubbing. I've also heard that the RSRR's run wider than normal tires. Any opinions?
