Just had the flex fuel / 4-1 PTuning header combo installed. Off of a e50 blend we got 215HP to the wheels. I was about to call about that metallic rattle because I had noticed it between 2000 and 2500 RPM. What a relief. Perhaps I should just get that second cat removed to solve that issue

At any rate, I could not be more happy with the car now. She really wants to get up and go. That dang traction light is killing me now, lol...

Great work PTUNING. Rims, Tires, and Turbo is next.

It's going to be the next topic. How to run the turbo and pass emissions.

I live in MD, 0 issues with turbo/header and emissions. No CEL = pass emissions (along with readiness checks).

Can you guys provide some insight on the best way to get this header ceramic coated? I read that coating the full assembled header may lead to installation issues/cracking as the slip joints get fused.

Is it ok to separate the joints? Are there any gaskets in the joints? Should the joining sections be masked from coating? any procedure or torque settings to put them back together?

I would prefer masking the joint sections similar to this:

We don't recommend coating if it messes up the tolerances of the header. I think @s30series and @rb6freak had theirs coated.

Correct, coated with Ceramic coating as well as wrapped in Ti. Engine bay temps were drastically reduced (i've got a thread somewhere)

About 8k miles later and a few track days and all is well. Still needs to be tuned....properly......

Awesome shop, header and results. Should my Tomei ever have an issue... I know what I'll be buying!

I referenced back in April that I may make a change... and I finally did! Sold my Tomei header and transitioned to the PTuning 4-1 Race Header. Results speak for themselves.

Dyno tuned by Toan at PTuning on a ~100 degree day with awful humidity.
- Thanks to Freddy, Ken, Toan, Justin and Mike at PTuning for awesome customer service.

Word of caution to 2013 BRZ/FRS owners... cam actuator issues referenced in this thread are real. Mine would randomly work / not work, so replacement was required.

Nice numbers!! What are your mods, aside from the header?

Mods that would impact motor output: full exhaust, intake, tune. 93 pump gas.

I wonder how much this would make on a cooler day with low humidity...
