@JellyForSale Why did you go for such a big sidewall and a staggered setup? Do you know your speedo is being thrown off by a lot? It seems so wrong in so many ways.

Agreed it looks odd. Compared to the jeep in the back the car looks pretty high up.

It's a rwd car, so I wanted the max width I could get out of front/rear without any rubbing on stock suspension. Sidewall is because of Pennsylvania pot holes. It looks monter truck because it's still on stock suspension and height and the sidewall is 45 as opposed to more common 35 I will admit that I feel the sidewalk is too much but it's a learning experience. For now it's very race car. Next is coilovers to alleviate the new growth spurt it just took. Either way I'm still in love with the car and my build so far. Always evolving.

Do you know your side wall/diameter is too big and it is throwing off your speedo by a good 10%? YES 10%. People buy 4.56 final drives to replace the stock 4.10 gears, which is about 10% difference. You went the opposite way and made your gears 10% longer!

Width and height are two different things. You could have put a 255/35 or even a 245/40 and it would have fit much better. If you wan't pot hole protection, you would get 17's or 16's.

Your setup is wrong in so many ways, I don't know what to think so I will leave this here.

Im building to to own standards, not yours. As a build in progress nothing is wrong with that I have going on. Is it tall? Yes. Is the speedo now wrong? Yes. I dont know why you once again stated that. I own the jeep in the back ground that is lifted and larger tires. I understand how a speedometer works. Yes I did probably mix up the words height/width in my post but I understand the difference. And if i want pot hole protection WHILE keeping my 18s I will get taller side wall to cushion. I don't understand why you're talking down over the fact that my tires are x/45/18 opposed to x/35/18.

I stated it twice because it was a question that was not answered.
You mixed up height/width, not me.
Im talking you "down" because you stated width not height. You made the mistake, stop trying to be defensive about it.
Go ahead and build it to your own standards. But when you post it on a forum, expect responses.

Nothing is wrong? Good one!

Do you have a profile pic?

@swarb
I did say I knew the speedo was now off in my second reply to you. So your first line is wrong.
I also admitted that I used the wrong words. So your second line is wrong. I never said you did.
Same as above. Not being defensive, just wondering if you read where I admitted that I used the wrong word.
I expected responses. See how @ZOMFGAARON stated his opinion but didn't act like a know it all? Hence why I didn't reply, I am genuinely happy he gave his opinion.
Im fairly certain you can see my profile picture on here. I am really not sure what your last question is getting at.

I'm interested in seeing when you lower it. Are you worried about rubbing? Any fender work in the future?

Different strokes for different folks, one thing that seems to be forgotten on this forum quite often.

Rear has 255/45/18. @swarb Best shot I have but you can see ever so slight rake. Coilovers will be used to fix it.

Im definitely concerned with the rear. If I had to guess, I'll be worried about that spot where the fender meets the bumper in the rear, and I'll be lowering the front to match the height of the rear Not going to the slammed look. Just lower to I lose my monster truck status

I personally think it looks good, and it'll look better once dropped a little bit.

The only thing I want to know is if your traction control kicks in because of the front/rear difference in height.
