So with just 800 miles on the car, I decided it needed the all important "moar low". On went a set of H&R Supersports.

The tail lights were not pleasing to me either. Not wanted to spend $500 on a set of TOMs yet, I grabbed some VHT nightshades and painted my stockers. The car also still had the TRD exhaust that the dealership installed. I soon sold it to fund a different exhaust setup.

An intake sounded like a good idea. Perrin Silicone inlet, Perrin intake, and Perrin Light weight crank pulley were installed.

Sold the TRD catback to a forum member here. I placed my order for a Nameless 3" axle back with 4" muffler option. At the time, Nameless was still very small. My exhaust took 2 months to build, but I have loved it since the day it arrived. At the same time as the axle back, I placed an order for the Revworks unequal length header system.

I picked up a set of 18" MSR wheels and tires off the forum here for $500. Nothing amazing, but I was happy with the look. I also traded trunks for a blank one, and added a 5-Axis painted trunk lip, and Beatsonic Shark Fin antenna.

Went on a 3-Day road trip with Rad Drives!

Not long after going to work for EQ, this happened. I had been running the OFT on my car since about 1500 miles. I was chosen to test out the SBD turbo kit and have Shiv create an OFT map using my car. I ended up running the kit and tune for over 10K without issue, and working with Shiv was and still is fantastic!

Modded the kit a little

I picked up another set of inexpensive wheels and tires from a customer, just to change the look a bit. I never loved the white wheels, as it attracted a lot of ricer attention, but it didn't look terrible.

Tein's came up on a super sale through one of our distributors, so a snagged a set of Streetflex Coilovers and the Tein EDFC setup.

I also got tired of the white wheels and picked up yet another set of forum members wheels. These are the wheels I am still running on my car now.

I started getting interested in tracking my car. I thought upgrading the brakes to the OEM STI Brembos was a start. The brakes were great on the street, and with mild street pads, worked okay on the track. After switching to a real track pad however, I found the brake bias while running the front and rear Brembos to be horrible. I sold the setup a few months after putting it on.

A good friend of mine picked up a new M3, so we went out for a drive. Turbo'd I still couldn't keep up...

awesome build and very neat track orientated car.

Were the STI brembo's really that bad in terms of bias issues and wouldn't a brake bias valve help reduce this issue? because a set of STI brembo's have become available but your comments have deterred me from going the brembo route

Awesome! Love it!

Two questions. though.

1. Do you mean to say you couldn't keep up with your buddy's M3 in straight aways or in corners?
2. You mentioned you let go of the turbo to drive the car without any power. May I ask why?

Thanks!

Yeah, about those brembo STis I bought from you... lol.

Cool build! Wish I had some good places to track my car and go hardcore like this.
