Good news! My new clutch and flywheel arrived today! Bad News! They were supposed to ship this to the shop that has the BRZ, which is 2 hours away from my house.
Oh well, at least I got to inspect the parts first.

It's been a little while so I figured I would post an update! I finally got the car back with its newly installed pressure plate and flywheel late in the fall, and the BRZ went into winter slumber soon after. I didn't even get to break the new clutch in! Soon enough, spring came around and I have been enjoying driving the BRZ a bunch over the past few months. The Fidanza lightened flywheel with the Exedy Sport clutch is a great combo, and the Verus forged shift fork gives me peace of mind for future track sessions.
Oil change time. I have been on the fence regarding oil extractors for a long time but was finally convinced into buying one of these EWK units from an Audi technician in another group. Today I finished my 2nd oil change with the unit and am in love with how easy it is, especially since both of my cars have the oil filters accessible from the engine bay. I highly recommend these to anyone who doesn't have a lift and is tired of jacking up the car to change oil. Regarding plans for the car, after my last track day, I found myself really wanting a more free-flowing exhaust. Not for HP, but so that I can simply hear the audio queues of shift points more easily with the windows down. I think I am settling for a Perrin catback setup, 2.5in resonated. I think that the OEM+ sound of the exhaust will be a great mix for track and daily drivability. I may throw an intake in the mix as well, to help enhance the induction noise, but we will see! My main issue right now is that dreaded bumper sag. I have tried a few of the tips and tricks to tighten up the gap on my bumper with no success. I recently ordered a new front lower spoiler to replace the banged up OEM STI one, so I think I will use that opportunity to completely remove the bumper and attempt to remount. Perhaps even taking a look at some of the new bumper reinforcement gizmos that Subaru is now offering. That's about it for now! Will post more updates soon.

I have a series blue also. I have a blue one. So there are 499 more of yours (white) and 499 more of mine (blue) and 998 total (blue and white) left.

That EKG unit is pretty cool. Hows the manual pump though? Not sure I want to buy an air compressor just yet...

It's super easy, honestly only takes a handful of pumps. I am a big fan of the whole system.

I finally took the opportunity to visit Hawk’s Nest, NY today. Oddly enough I have only been here once before, it was 1996 and I was tubing down the Delaware River at a week away summer camp. I remember the councillors pointing to the stretch of road carved into the cliff saying ‘car commercials are filmed there’. So here I am, almost 25 years later! (a little late for the show right?) Today encompassed what was pretty much a perfect day in the northeast. Low humidity, temps near 80. My trek to get to this location involves leaving my house in Montville, NJ and snaking my way up the winding roads of 23, through High Point State Park and up to Port Jervis. There are some excellent roads in the Delaware Water Gap area, and you can get in some great runs provided you don't get stuck behind a dreaded out-of-state minivan doing less than the posted limit. That said, Hawk’s Nest is very crowded and patrolled closely by state police so def. not a place to wind it out. I can’t state enough how much of a blast this car is to drive on mountain roads. The lore of the designers inspired to tune it for the twisty ‘Hakone Turnpike’ located in the mountains outside Toyko def seems true. I would rather be ringing out the BRZ at 9/10ths on a twisty road any day of the week over my F80 M3. Being able to have so much fun with the platform and not reach triple-digit warp speeds in seconds can be a blessing.

Well, all good things must come to an end! I've really enjoyed my time owning this BRZ series.blue. I sold the vehicle this morning to a local enthusiast so I know the vehicle is in good hands.
Providing that the moon & stars continue to align, it is looking like I have an allocation on the way for a 2020/2021 Porsche GT4! My lifelong pursuit has been to get into a new 911, but being that the 718's are so darn good, a GT model is an opportunity that is too good to pass up. I am opting for a PDK model, so delivery will be Q4 2020 at the earliest. In the meantime, I wanted to free up garage space / simplify my car life for a bit in prep for the big move into Porsche world. I have been playing nonstop in the configurator. Leaning towards Miami Blue, but I seem to change my mind on this daily. Thanks for reading this 86 club, who knows, maybe I will be back with another one at some point!

Congrats, that's amazing. As someone who refuses to buy cars painted in mundane colours, I'd say Miami Blue is an excellent choice. Really looks amazing in the sun

I agree on Miami Blue. I am a 'hobbiest' auto detailer, and I find it funny that all my talents for polishing are lost on owning white cars. Lava Orange would be my top choice for the GT4, but for some reason, they have much more limited options for this one.

Great choice and natural upgrade. #boxsterforever I like the darker blue on the configurator. Or maybe go all and get PTS? Haha fun choices.
