Well ya. Why would I ship them to the US? Unfortunately everything is done in US dollars so I would be paying way more.

Not on Japanparts. Business is conducted in yen.

87K yen works out to be about ~1000ish CAD + shipping and customs.

Now how hard are the louvers to remove and where do you usually park the car for prolonged periods?
Very easy to remove, 8 small bolt. I usually remove it after a car wash and wipe down the back window to remove water spots. I was parking outside but recently got off my ass and cleaned out my garage, so aside from work I'm now garage kept most of the time.

Having done exhaust and intake also, go for header, downpipe, axleback and tune first. That been the most enjoyable from a driving perspective. As far as intake, the Perrin intake tube and a K&N drop in have been wonderful, and a fraction of the cost of most full intakes. I have no plans to lower mine, so I can't really speak to that. I had a truck that I lowered some years ago and it was a hassle to deal with it daily. The louvers are really fuckin cool, but I would call them an "after you've done the important stuff" mod.

I've had mine for about a year now, and I'm still stoked on them. They look awesome! Yes, your rear window can get pretty damn filthy, but they come off fairly easy for a quick cleaning. I've yet to, and refuse to run my car through a car wash but i'm sure they'd hold up. TRD Louvers FTW!

(from when I first installed)

I don't know about the deal packofcrows was looking at but there is actually a Canadian company starting production at the end of the month and they have a group buy running. Fisk aero, you can find them on Facebook.

Nice thing is the price point through the end of the year is $650-$500 based on sales and much cheaper shipping since it is not coming from Japan.

I'm late on this as well, but I definitely would've been interested.

Been following this since you posted the info. Thanks!

I personally love the way louvers look on this car but cannot consider them @ the $1k price point, so any news of a cheaper alternative is a warm welcome.

The pre-order date has been pushed back to the January 15th and hopefully there will be pictures of the finished prototype next week based off the company's recent comments. I'll more than likely pull the trigger for the pre-order if they look great.

I haven't heard of the company till now though. Aside from their reviews from FB, have you or anyone you know done business with them?
