Power Windows Not Operating

I bought the car just over 2 weeks ago brand new (2014). I haven't had a chance to sched an appt with the dealer yet but wanted to see if I could get any input from anyone on the boards.

Both power windows don't work at all anymore after a rain storm on Thurs night (2/27). Nothing happens if I press either of the switches on both doors, even if I try to do the auto function or the half press for manual. Also, the auto lights are not lighting up on both doors.

I've only seen posts about windows not going down with the auto function but still going down and they did some window reset. Not the case for me
Pretty strange, any ideas?

Thanks guys!

I would unplug the negative terminal on the battery.

And another option once you try the battery disconnect.

Hold button up and/or down x 10 secs.

@AVodka14 - disconnected the neg terminal on the battery but they don't work still. Guess I'll have to schedule with the dealer. Tried holding the switches down/up after too. Thanks tho!

I don't know if this will help or not, but I installed speakers in the doors without disconnecting the battery and the passenger window went down and locked. I tried all kinds of switch combinations, but it did not help...then I remembered the passenger window lock on the driver's door. I restarted the car and before pressing that switch, I noticed that the passenger window 'Auto' button was flashing...I pressed the window lock button twice and then tried the driver's switch for the passenger window and it started working again. So, I think there was some kind of reset that was required and this worked. Maybe, someone out there knows exactly what the sequence is.

I just did the same thing, pushed window lock button on/off twice and then the passenger side window finally went up. No other combination worked. It was apparently stuck due to cold or something (was extremely cold here last night and today).

If you ask me, this freeze/lock "feature" is a pretty stupid feature/bug. If I wouldn't have found this thread my car would have had to sit out all night with the passenger side window cracked. I tried for five minutes all kinds of combos to get it to go up. Nothing worked but this.

So what did you find? I'd say you just need to re-initialize your window but it sounds like more than that....

@paiceyfan @captain_beebus

Thanks guys for the input and tips. Surprisingly the switch was out already so they replaced it. I just dealt with that issue on my 10 year old accord, didn't think I'd have to worry about that on this car after 2 weeks -____- oh well haha.
