Took some photos of the silver FR-S owned by @YAER the other day. He was just bolting on his black powdercoated Torque's 17x9.0 +30 wrapped in the stock rubber (215/40-17) with BC coilovers cranked down.

Not a huge fan of a Brand new car and putting ghetto Rota's on it as it's clear you are cheap and thus relates the car to cheap buyers/builders. To add to this OP already stated he gets hook ups on used tires (further supporting the cheap builders theory) hence why his setup keeps looking wrong as tires are just mix matched and thrown on. This is how I build a 20 year old civic for track duty - Rota's and Used tires - I certainly wouldn't be treating my sub 30 Thousand Dollar brand new car this way. IMHO if I can't afford to do it right I would just save up.

Call me a hater all you want - It's my opinion that I backed up with supporting arguments not just a random general statement to piss of the trolls.

These Torques are my daily driver/having fun wheels. I don't have to worry about them being stolen or getting damaged because they don't cost much to replace. I laugh at the guys who spend $3000+ for wheels on their parking lot princesses. I'm not embarrassed to say that I am cheap, but it's not gonna stop me from supercharging my car and having it look good... why spend unnecessary money on brand names that less than 1% will care about?

Some people laugh at people spending tons on a show car and some will laugh at you on your fake wheels. Also, I don't mod my car so that 1% or 100% of people care, because it's my car and i'm only doing it for personal satisfaction.

In the end do what you want. I believe no matter what mods or even what car you buy people will criticize your decisions. Who cares

I won't call you a hater, it is your opinion and I respect that.

I am curious though, how much must one spend on wheels before you consider it acceptable? The FR-S/BRZ isn't exactly an expensive car, relatively speaking.

Copycat!!! But seriously, everyone comments on how good they look on the car. You will be very happy... and they are such a low price that you don't have to worry about damaging one cause for less than $200 you can have a replacement wheel on the car!

This thread got interesting LOL

Look, I park my car outside in the car port. I don't have a garage to keep it all nice and cozy at night when I am sleeping. So I refuse to spend the money I've worked very hard for on a $3000 set of rims to please anyone on the internet.
As long as I, and the others, who chose to purchase a cheaper set of rims is happy. That's all that matter. So don't come in someones thread that is trying to show off their ride and get all pissy.

Thanks for supporting the more expensive rim-jobs I guess.

How much camber are you running?

A lot. Not sure, but I maxed out the front camber plates.

It's all for looks... I doubt that running this much camber helps in the day to day driving.
