Hmmmm. I use my mirrors.... Always have really. Use a quick shoulder check as well. I use the cup holder for change because the furthest one back is too far to the rear to be used for much anything else. Funny part is that it all "just happened". One day i had my redbull in the front holder and had some change. Tossed it in the rear cup holder and that's been how it has been since. Works well for me. I get the tacky idea, but i don't really have any need to change .

I did too until one day a car slammed on their brakes in front of me the very second I did a shoulder-check. Although rare, in those situations microseconds count. The mirror can be adjusted to cover the exact spot that's blind, I'd still use both not just one method.

Great sentiment which I really like but reality is there are some annoying features on the car, though "hate" might be a bit strong...such as;-

- the C pillar blind spot
- the sound tube (I really do not like it....someone on another thread likened the sound to that of a "wet fart", I think that's pretty accurate)
- stiff 2nd gear when cold
- GPS signal continually being lost

I could complain about some of the finishes, some features I would have liked, but aren't included and the lack of sound deadening, but for the price of the car that would be very unfair, whereas I think the above criticisms are fair.....don't get me wrong, I do very much I love this car For the price it is literally amazing!!!!

SAE paper many years ago recommended blind spot coverage with the door mirrors. I've used this setup for decades now. It is far more important to avoid the dufous in front of you than the dufous trying to pass you at 3 mph differential speed.

In order: noisemaker, now disconnected, tires and roll oversteer.

Coming from a 2012 Focus SEL I miss the following:

Tap turn signal for three blinks (going to be buying that Tapaturn thing to remedy this issue)

consistent bluetooth (worked every time in the Focus, has worked one of two times in the FR-S)

Steering wheel controls (by far my biggest issue, I really miss being able to adjust the volume and change the radio station without reach over. Volume is easy enough, but the touch screen is annoying for flipping between radio and CD and having to look over to find the change track button)

armrest/center console (I could fit a lot more stuff in the center console and glove box in the Focus than I can in the glove box of the FR-S)

Sun glasses holder up near the mirror

My dumb (non-smart) phone might be part of the issue, but I never had a problem connecting to Ford's Sync software.
The first time I synced my phone it worked fine, but hopping in the car last night the phone wouldn't connect properly. Bluetooth symbol popped up and everything it just wouldn't allow me to use the phone, I tried turning bluetooth on the phone off and on multiple times to no avail. I figure it was just a quirk, but I guess I'll find out as I go.

I dunno, my Nexus 4 hates my Bespoke. The phone connection works about 90% of the time but the contacts maybe 1 in 5 tries. Since there is no Android support for the Bespoke, I am investigating to moving to a Nexus 7 and removing the bespoke all together.
