I'm allergic to nicotine! Yay me! Course I learned that the hard way in High School....

Anyway, my sis in law and brother smoke. Loaned a car to them to take a trip to Vegas, stressed DON'T SMOKE.

They get back, smelled of smoke, not real bad but enough to feel my system act up.

Took about 3 months of using ozium to get the odor completely gone.

I also bought a used truck that had been smoked in for about 3 months. Took 2 years to get the smell out completely.

Respect others and their property, don't smoke in public when lots of people are around, or in other folks vehicles, unless they give you permission.

I piss off a lot of people in public places when they smoke around me or my kids. I don't care if you smoke, just not around others. Simple courtesy.

I park my car on the side of the highway and get out when I need a smoke. Then I just never stopped at all... And now the car remains 100 smoke free, while I am 97% smoke free!

I don't smoke, but I definitely dip. Was a damn good feeling when I pulled out off the showroom floor, put in a fat pinch, and drove off into the sunset. Albeit, I imagine I probably throw a lot of people off their rocker when they see a young guy like me in a suit, driving an FR-S, merrily spitting into a bottle while jamming out to a country station. Like the song says, "You can't hide redneck, even in a 3-piece suit"!

Lol, but on a serious note, I've been dipping for about 10 years now, it's a rough habit to quit. I wish they made some kind of stop-dip aid. Smokers have electronic cigarettes (tried using it to ween myself off dip, but I'm just not a smoker), the patches don't seem to work all that well, and the beef-jerky "dip" only helps with the motions of dipping, not with the nicotine addiction.

Interesting. Well, if you're able to get me a name of that product, I'd appreciate it so I can check it out!

I never smoked in my last car.. Until I got dovorced. Smoked everything in it after that. Smelled like sh** too. Traded it in, lost a little bit because of that. Woulda lost more if my accidents were on the car fax, but they weren't so thank god. But in my Fr-S, I've smoked only a few times in her. And I'll admit, I'm hating it when I do. Windows rolled down always, and after I'm finished I leave it rolled down for a bit. I plan not to anymore. Tree's, I don't care so much so long as it's in bowls.

my old 99 corolla used to be owned by an old asian lady that smoked u can tell because of the smell at first and the cigarette burns... lol but after a while the smell went away but the burns didnt so i guess if u air it out for a couple of months or something the smell will leave

is this really true? i've heard mixed opinions on this. sometimes i hear that your lungs will never fully repair, and other times i hear it can take as long as 7 years. i've never really researched it because i don't smoke cigarettes.

I don't know what the price of smokes is over there in the states is like, but over here in Aust, a pack of 25's will set you back around $20 (closer to USD$21)

So, I quit to buy the car.
The amount i save not smoking pays for nearly 3/4 of the car..
I also don't smell any more

My last car, I wasn't going to smoke in it.
Drove it out of the dealer, hit the redline about 400meters down the road, then lit up a smoke. think the car then had 11km on it haha

Had a car once that the previous owner smoked in but not too terrible. Shampooed the shit out of the carpets and upholstery and ran an ozone machine in the car for a few days. Smell was pretty much gone after that. I remember when cleianing the inside of the windows and other surfaces like dashboard, there was this brown/yellow residue that came off on the towels... ewww
