On a more serious note, do you guys hear a minor lug/chatter coming from a dead stop? Its a tough act trying to balance clutch wear and engine chatter.

This thread definitely needs a FAQ section. Maybe we can potentially PM FAQs to the OP so he can add it at the front page. Sometimes I feel bad asking questions because I feel like they could be potentially answered in other posts.

There's a guy in Instagram who uses a spencer fabrication crash bar with a larger intercooler. All custom work but if you contact Spencer Fabrication I bet he'll be able to help you out

yea, I get the chatter. When starting to accelerate from a dead stop it sounds like something it hitting something else under the engine. I realized it's actually belt slap. If you're hearing chatter my guess is the belt is too loose. The tighter I put the belt on the less chatter I heard. So I just tightened the belt to where I heard no chatter. The 21mm rule that they have in the manual didn't work for my second belt. It was wayyy too loose. I went by my friends "half a belt twist rule" and it worked fine. Just tightened a tad bit more and then all chatter disappeared. If I could remember, I believe I'm at 14 or 15mm from the bottom of the bolt head tensioner to the supercharger bracket. Hopefully this helps a few.

Would you all agree that with a built motor and a C38 comp that this kit has the highest hp potential out of the current offerings ?

I can't necessarily agree, but it would be my choice for sure

No. A turbo will trump it. But if you mean SC only then yeah with E85 and a built motor the C38 should kick ass.

But there's a few SC kits that are worth keeping an eye on, Harrop Engineering, Edlebrock, and Jackson Racing C38.

I probably should have added that I was limiting choices to supercharger offerings. I didn't know Jackson was working a c38 kit. I know belt reliability is iffy on these kits from KW, thanks to the lack of a auto tensioner ???

Anyone thinking its worth it to push it with a built block and c38 vs a larger turbo. The idea is a responsive FA20 with atleast 500whp, whi ch would place the PTW is GT3 RS category.

No physical difference but when I went to get tuned (I have an auto) my tuner had to reschedule it with me because the tune files from manual to auto were too different to do it in the time he allotted. They may have changed tuners at KW and that's why.
