IIRC some base trims in other countries didn't. Like Australia. My friend (in AU) and I just talked about this a few months back, he didn't realize that in the US all the models have the paddles.

All of the reviewers (at least the handful I watched) are going out of their way to say the MK1 was "slow" and that the torque curve is fixed, mostly, but none have said the car actually IS faster. I'm assuming it must be given the extra horsepower, but is it enough to care, assuming you know how to drive the MK1?

On track in the Throttle house one, it seems like it is as well. The GR86 turned a 1:15.9 vs a low 1:15 for a FRS with RS4s. So seems like it could go faster with similar tires. |

Yeah, I pressed the marketing guys and its pretty much guaranteed. They're gonna run this life cycle just like the previous one. Hella special editions.

Jason Cammisa always has the best reviews....Porche 944's spiritual successor

I would have never bought the AT without paddles. From a couple of reviews it sounds like the AT may have slipped backwards a bit in performance as well.

The reviewers, and those of us here, are more car enthusiast then the average buyer who probably won't give a shit.

For some reason, some of the 1st gen automatics they had at the presentation didn't have paddle shifters. Perhaps pre-production prototypes? |
