For a GT convertible, sure. They basically lifted the proportions straight from the Mercedes SL.

For a car named Z4 though, these proportions don't make any sense. Hood is too short, tail is too long, the car has no hips.

The car looks fine, even if the detail work is a bit overdone, but it's not a Z4.

The rear reminds me of a new Porsche and the sides a Merc.

I don't understand huge ass cars like these.

It would cool to see the two vehicles superimposed via Photoshop or something to visualize the differences better.

The Z4 wasn't always huge ass
161" for the length on the first Z4, that's 5" shorter than an 86. The new one is expected to be over 175", despite the shorted wheelbase. Most of the length gain will be in the tail so they can get weight over the rear end. In the old Z4 hey could get away with that short tail because the seats were practically on top of the rear axle.

as cool as those digital speedometer displays are...I hate them.

Give me good old fashioned analog tach anyday. I will also accept digital speedometer readouts.

But having the entire speedo cluster all digital like a video game HUD...no thanks.

Okay, that's a little better news! I could only find numbers for the gazoo racecar, which is said 180, probably for aero.

Ugh that's still 10" longer than the E85 though..

yup, the GR Supra concept also included the racing gear in the dimension chat.

yeah sadly BMW cars in general have grown in size since the 90s and early 2000s. but @Guff saw it in person last week and he said it looked good in both size and design.
