Okay, so, why the hell does my dealership have a NON-REFUNDABLE $500 deposit? It's one of the only reasons I haven't gotten on the list and ordered.

That's pretty good news I guess. 6k for BRZ alone sounds decent enough not including the FR-S but probably won't seen often the first year on the roads. It's fine by me.

Not a bad number at all, same numbers as the s2000 in 00 and 06 so it might not be too hard to find after a few months which is a good sign for me and others planning to buy later this year.

I'm a little confused. Initial allocations were 540 per month which is around 3700 for the year. Does this mean dealer allocations are higher then first reported? So if they were told they would receive 8 per year are they now getting more?

they should get more; when I saw the 6000 number, I thought that was a lot, plus you're probably going to have that much alocated by scion as well.

Well Subaru will only have to ship 50 to Canada to meet demand there given their 8K+ markups on their sporty models vs. the US...

This is pretty close to my just-calculated ~7,000 BRZ USA MY13 allocation based off the dealership-reported allocation data in this thread

That's an interesting brand to cross-shop.

You guys should be glad with 8k markup in Canada.

Asia's (not japan) markup is way ridiculous. It could be 3x the original msrp.

This wanna-be-limited-production is getting annoying. If they don't want to sell me the car - I'll shop somewhere else, no big deal.

... and yes BWM and Subary can be easily cross shopped by a moderate gearhead.

Not really. That's import tax. Dealers probably charge 10K mark up at best. It's fortunate for me, Cambodia's import tax is based on engine displacement and MY. I can export it to Cambodia 4 year later and pay 8K import tax.

Subaru? Subary sounds so gay. No offense to gay people.
