I don't know many 44 year olds that can afford a BRZ unless they are single. Most people go through life unable to ever afford a porsche.

This video was extremely stupid. I wish I never posted it.

There are quite a few of us 25 year olds driving the car; check out the age and profession thread. Also, yes, most are IT and engineering field... Which in my case means no student loans because no school.

Average Scion buyer is 30 whereas Porsche 911 buyer is at 46. Therefore, the reviwers are not that far off. I think the video has a very valid point. Frs/Brz is marketed toward younger/lower income car enthusiasts whereas 911 is for older/more affluent enthusiasts.

Even though the two reviwers look alittle big, but they dont look too much heavier than the average male in the country. The younger guy in the video might look kinda big for typical japanese sports car buyer, but the older guy looks like a typical Porsche owner. Remember, the average male weight in the US is 196 lbs.

The best thing about the review is it shows how altitude can drastically decrease engine performance. I think the video is being realistic and not stupid at all.

I would never want to move to Colorado ever. My RSX is a 8.5 second car so in Co it would be a 13.5 second car! No thanks.

I'm not bashing the video at all. I mean, comparing it to a Porsche is really cool and all but at the same time is a whole different kind of car. They were praising the right things but testing the wrong stuff when comparing it to a Porsche. They accelerated with AC on for both cars (Saying they turned it off but really we can see hair blowing lol). I have yet to put somebody in the back of my car and when they look and ask why they end up thanking me lol.

11 seconds in a 0-60 in CO, even with a auto is kind of ridiculous.

I have a manual, live in CO (6,000+ ft) and I'm 100% sure I could get a much better time than that. Maybe it's something fun I could do after I break in my vehicle.

Without a second look these videos can give a car a bad name. The comparison of a BRZ to a Porsche seems pointless cause lets face it, we know the results. Naturally the Porsche is going to be twice as fast cause it has twice the power. Stick 400hp in the BRZ and than its a different story. But as far as the two cars go, Id assume the suspension and center of gravity would be similar. Than again Im just speculating so not 100%.

Either way I still would choose the BRZ over the Porsche any day cause its not a "timeless style" but instead its unique and sleek. At least to me it is.

Yea, Its really easy to get an engineering job with out going to school. Any way I couldn't find one with a degree.

FYI: I am an Electrical Engineer working in IT field.

22 turning 23 in august. just graduated with a b.s. in microbio and starting pharmacy school at 38k per year for tuition. Already paid off 2/3 of the car. It really just depends on how hard your willing to work and how much you want the car.

I had to stop watching after he was banging that beautiful 911 off the rev limiter. Such a horrible sound. And that acceleration comparo wasn't good at all. The one guy started out banging it off red and the other guy looked like he did a 0-5-60 instead. Horrible driving.

Exactly! I love my FR-S. It will be my last full gas car I ever buy. I am 27 and pulling in 65K, but living in CA has its disadvantages, namely cost of living.
