2017 Subaru BRZ microsite link

This refresh looks really good other than the front end. Am I the only one who thinks they took a step backwards by placing the LEDs in the headlights? It's doesn't look as clean IMO...other than that, the wheel looks better but is it bigger? I kinda liked the old wheel and its size. The headunit looks like a big improvement over the last one

Noticed, the two BRZ from the Video are Black and White, just like the two that was leaked in March.

Maybe those are 2016 with changed bits, and fake sounds placed into the car to make the video.hahaha just a thought

Knowing Subaru it's probably the same as the STi bembos with the bleeder nipple flipped but we'll have to wait to find out.

I don't know, sounds like my BRZ with the STI axleback.

After watching the opening two-seconds-long drive scene more closely I now think it likely the engine sounds are dubbed. The car looks to be doing at least 50 mph and maintaining a fairly consistent speed - at best, accelerating slowly. And yet the engine note is rising quickly, seeming to go from about 3k rpm to redline in less than 2 seconds, as if in flat-out acceleration in first gear. So the revs are too low at the start, and climb too quickly for the car to be in 2nd; and are too high at the end for it to be in 3rd, since if it were the car would be going about 90 mph which it clearly is not.

Whether the dubbed sounds are real or synthesized is anyone's guess, but if they are real they've likely been altered/autotuned half to death.

Pretty sure every promotional video of a car in the history of promotional videos has used dubbed/fake engine sounds. It's like the explosions in an action movie, or the orgasm of some dirty whore in a porn.

I was curious if this was standard Scion practice so I listened to a few early FR-S promos and commercials. Oddly, none of the 5 I watched have any in-cabin audio, which is interesting in itself - Scion must have realized it wasn't exactly a standout feature of the car. The external car audio, while somewhat representative of the real thing (they didn't try to make it sound like a Jag F type or something equally ridiculous) is heavily smoothed and sounds nowhere near as crude as IRL.
