Nicely done.
I love Vossens, and I actually like your setup on 19's.

Do you know what your camber settings are?

I would do this.
Wait until you get the wheels and test fit them, see if they clear.
The reason I tell people to get a 10mm spacer is that it allows for more camber adjustment, especially at the knuckle (using camber bolts) where the camber change will result in clearance issues with wheels. You could be okay with a 5mm spacer or less, but as soon as you try to add camber you'll have problems unless you use camber plates.

As for the tire, you can run the 245/35R18 with no problems. The tire will not cause issues, unless you go oversize like a 265.

As mentioned, on an 18" wheel, the closest part to the suspension is not the tire, but the inside of the wheel itself.

Plus, that is the "right" size tire for a 9" wheel, 245 or 255's.
So regardless, I will have to get spacers if I want to run it with stock suspensions and those rims? Haha! Alright thanks!! Big thanks!

You might get lucky and not need any, really depends on your current camber, but if so it will be very close.
Btw, you should clear on the rears since there is more room on the inboard side.

Hi
Just got the car and it is completely stock except supercharger kit (will be installed this weekend). Dont have much knowledge about stock fitment even though i tried to read as much as possible from this forum.
I am planning to get some 18" concave wheels, squared if possible. Wedssport sa-55m or work kiwami looks nice.
I have a very limited budget, so dont want to change suspensions or coilovers or brakes, anyway i'm happy with the ride right now, a little stiffer after 18"s would be fine, just worry about traction after SC.
Can you give me some suggestions about wheel width, offset and tire size that will fit stock setup, or at least very low cost setup?

So im looking into getting the enkei T6S, 18x8.5 +45 and was wondering what a good tire size would be. Im also planning on buying coilovers along with the wheels and lowering my car about an 1".

You should have no clearance issues with that setup, would recommend you look at 245/35R18, ideal size for that wheel.

Ok fellas, I want to run:
Rays 57getter
18x8.5 225/35 front
18x9.5 255/35 rear

Can I run it without coils? I wanted to do sportlines or pro kit.
Also any suggestions/comments on those wheels and tire sizes?

Thanks.

Depends on offset of your wheels.
For fronts run 225/40R18, 235/40R18, 245/35R18

Rears would be 245/35R18 or 255/35R18.

Depends on wheel offsets what tires you can run to some extent.

Oh crap didn't realize I forgot the offset.
18x8.5 +45 front
18x9.5 +40 rear

Thanks on the tires man.

Hey guys,

I am thinking about getting some Work XD9's for my 86! It has stock suspension and i was wondering if anyone knew if the below sizes will fit. I am thinking about having the backs wheels abit wider. Thoughts/opinions.

Any help would be great thanks!

Default PCDs and offsets available:
18 X 9.0 [45mm dish] - $440 per wheel [ 5-100, 5-114.3 / +30, +38]
18 X 10.0 [73mm dish] - $455 per wheel [5-100, 5-114.3 / +18, +38]

You will get some poke with that setup unless you camber them in lots.

Here's a perfect example of that.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=156

The tire size you run will depend how much camber you are at.
With enough camber though, you could run the 245/35R18, 40 series is too tall. But that may be "too much" camber than ideal, just in order to fit these wheels. Most folks running this same setup are running 225/40R18 up front, no issues in back though.

If you have a choice of offsets, try this wheel size in something closer to +38 to +42.

18 X 10.0 [73mm dish] - $455 per wheel [5-100, 5-114.3 / +18, +38]
For fronts, use the +38 offset, should be close but may poke a bit.

For rears with the +38, will poke out quite a bit also.
10" size is pretty wide for the back, you will need to run lots of camber to make it work (Stance Nation) and small tires.
See here:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60585

If you go with 18x9 +38 all around, it should give you much better options and fitment. Will also allow you to run a 245/35R18 square, maybe bigger if you are lowered a tad.
