Is it even possible to turbo a twin for <$1000? That number doesn't seem like its even remotely viable. Just glancing at prices now the cheapest kit I see is $3300, and most are $4k+. If you're building your own for 30% of the price of the cheapest kit available you're probably gonna have a bad time.

Pretty sure some of the piping wont line up initially so it will probably require some rewelding to get everything to line up.

Why sooo much overthinking?

Just need these good parts mainly.
T66 Turbo

With NOS

Unfortunately MoTec doesn't make an exhaust for our cars so I'd go with this.

The one you chose is from a Taiwanese company with little to no reputation that I could find.

I said it already, if there is one thing you don't try to skimp on, its the damn turbo. Buy a Garrett GT2860R, they're used in almost all of the kits for a reason.

Turbos have extremely narrow tolerances, this is a wheel thats spinning upwards of 100,000 rpm, a small imbalance could be catastrophic. Go with a reputable brand. Spending $300 more on a turbo now is better than replacing the motor later.

All of it. You're buying parts from kits that aren't made to work with each other, something is not going to fit, and you're going to have to re-weld it to make it fit.

Find me a turbo that size with ball bearings and external wastegate for under $1000...you can't.

I remember going through 2 turbonetic turbos which is a known company. One blew on the dyno and the other the compressor broke and the engine sucked up some pieces.

It’s going to sting when you save a few hundred on the turbo and comes apart. Hopefully it will only destroy itself but unlikely. I’m as frugal as it gets but in some cases you definitely get what you pay for. Save in other areas not the turbo.

There is a reason for that. Pay for quality dude.

You still never specified why you want an external wastegate. If you're aiming for 350whp, you're below the power level where an external wastegate would make sense for performance.

If you look at the JDL kit, and others I'm sure, they include an external wastegate, you have the option to skip the internal wastegate on the turbo altogether.

Mostly the intercooler piping. As stated above you are buying two parts from two different kits which werent made to either specifications.
