Good roads around Chicago
Hey all, I am from Toronto, Canada and I am going to Chicago for a road trip next week. I was wondering if there are good roads for a nice drive around Chicago, or a day-trip-able from Chicago.
Thanks in advance for all your help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You'll have to be outside of the city to find anything,as Chicago roads are pretty shithouse.
Way west or northwest is probably your best bet. |

I don't have any specifically. I only know the general area because of Savage Geese on Youtube. He's not too far west of where I live, but I can't 100% identify what exact roads he's on.
I actually tried to reach out to him to find out,but never got a response. |

Honestly, there ARE a FEW barely-decent roads around the area - but they're few and far between. And they really aren't worth making a day tip to go do.
As somebody who has traveled all over the country but lived in Chicagoland all their life, the 'decent' stuff here ONLY means it isn't laser straight. I hate to say it, but honestly don't bother. |

Fair enough I’ll probably just do some around Lower Wacker or something while I am there. Thanks for all the advice.

The road going through the Skokie lagoons is a place I like to cruise through once in a while. Nothing special but I like to fish so I’m there occasionally
