What kind of fire extinguisher and mount is that? Does it mount to either the drivers or passenger OEM seat?

Thanks

Yes TRD bits are not that cheap even when supplied as part of the car hahaha.
The TRD model is NZ$20,000 dearer than the GT86 over here. So you either have to be very dedicated.... or nuts.

Most of that cost is the Brembo BBK and the forged wheels. It's a valid argument that the brakes are far more than what is required for the power the car puts out, but then I don't think you can you can have too much braking. Even if you drive it hard, you won't over tax them, they won't overheat and warp the the rotors and they NEVER fade. Even with all the trackdays I do, I can get 12 Months out of a set of front pads and they aren't even race pads.

The extinguisher is the dry power type and comes with the bracket which attaches to the seat rails. Therefore the extinguisher moves back and forth with the seat.

Designed and built by a New Zealand company.

I'm going to say "probably" The only difference between the passenger seat and drivers seat is that the drivers seat is height adjustable.
All you would need to do is check that the slide rails used are the same for each seat. If so, then I can't see why not.

I agree on the brakes... Definitely worthwhile and even though it's not 'fast' it is still capable of good speed.

The price... Ouch!!!

@boost86 (further to your recent PM)

Picture of the original Speedo fitted, which I upgraded to the GT86 cluster with the digital speedo.

Plug and play electrically except that the imobiliser has to be intiated by a Toyota dealer so it would recognise the ignition key.

Got bored so went online recently and bought some stuff

1) A cheap sharkfin antenna for my cheap stereo, since I removed the original head unit to fit the TRD gauges. Works very well, so quite pleased.

2) HKS air intake. I don't expect much from it, but might get a bit more cooler air on track on a hot day. Can't be any worse than the small OEM air intake also pictured. We will see...

These photos are a couple of years old now, so the GT86 looks a bit different here.

The hydraulic hoist shown here is the best piece of garage equipment I have ever bought. It gets used quite a bit when adding things or servicing the car.
If I'm not working on my car, then it's someone elses which is just as fun sometimes.

Raises up 1 Metre which is plenty for home use.

I don't have those wheels anymore. 18" TRD wheels are on it now.

@Tech I'm just curious about the radio mounted below the HVAC controls. I haven't looked under there in quite some time. Was it simple to do? Thanks!

@BatStig. Happy to answer any questions.

Once I fitted the gauges I had no stereo and wasn't going to bother. However that little one was very cheap from a local auto store. You have to go for one that does not have a CD player as the room available once you pull out the little plastic compartment thingie, is not a lot!

This one is a radio and will play MP3's from a USB stick. You can get ones with Bluetooth as well. It serves my purpose, but to answer your question umm, no not easy to fit. The problem is there is not really any access behind the unit to secure the stereo in properly. It all functions, but it can work it's way out of the space due to not being secured in very well. The gear shift gets in the way of all the controls so not user friendly in that spot.

As I don't use it very much, it's not much of a concern to me. However it's not something I would recommend others to do. TBH I use the USB socket on it to charge my phone more than anything else.

I have seen others mount the gauges in the facia panel on the passenger side and keep their strereo. That makes the gauges too far away for my liking.

I decided that the gauges are more important to me than music.
