I'm moving to Vienna VA within a month and wanted to see if someone could help me with emissions and noise rules because I'm running a muffler delete. I'm missing one cat from the JDL EL header as well but I'm ecutek tuned so there's no CEL. Not sure if I'll pass or if I should put the stock muffler back on before I leave.

Hey there, welcome to the area.

It totally depends on where you go for the emissions check. Some places are strict, some just dont care.

So its a crop shoot. Sorry I cant give more details than that.

Hey new guy! Lol.

The county of Fairfax requires you to have an emissions test every 2 years. To cover your ass for testing, i would throw on the stock muffler at least. As stated before, some places are anal and some aren't.

Noise on the roads isn't a concern. Noise in your neighborhood might be an issue. New laws were passed recently. Check out wtop.com for all the details.
