Hope they use the old Toyota RSC concept as the basis of a new CUV...
That thing was awesome

LOL @ all the people here thinking they know business. Toyota is trimming the fat, but they won't be dropping the Scion brand.

Tada-san has explained how he wants the GT86 platform to become a niche for Toyota, much like Mini is for BMW. Clearly, the idea here is to turn Scion into that niche brand.

Why trim the fat now? It's a form of demographic testing. The FR-S has not done that well in certain areas, which is the only saving grace of Scion at this very moment. If Scion is to go the way of the FR-S philosophy, it will hold a lot more sporty cars for the enthusiast. Obviously, there are places that are completely uninterested in this type of car and will cut Scion. Others will have seen the boom in sales they got from the FR-S and keep Scion. As a result, Toyota will feed their GT86 platform cars through their remaining Scion dealerships to avoid having them sit around, to sell them in bulk, and to sell them at top dollar.

This is just a subtle way of controlling demand for Scion cars that will eventually become much more desirable. Don't be surprised if remakes of the Celica and MR-2 would be Scions. Heck, the TC is practically a Celica now.

Just heard on fastlane daily, Toyota had just told all their dealer that they can stop selling scions anytime they want...sounds pretty bad to me. Unless they end up bring the GT86 over with all the different trim level? one can only dream.
