someone may have already mentioned this in other threads but it takes about 3 full weeks for a boat from China to arrive in the Northwest coast ports in north america sooooo I would guess it would be about the same for Japanese shipments.

I know coz my work involves shipping logistics from China to Seattle ports.

Not sure if its 100% accurate but JHollis told the 1st86 it takes 9 days to the West Coast and 24 (or was it 21) days to the East Coast.

There are probably a few 1st86ers that might disagree with you, wanting that exclusivity of having the FR-S before everyone else. If Scion corporate wants the dealers to hold the cars till a certain release date, that's fine with me. I've been waiting years for this car, a few more weeks isn't going to matter. I'm just happy that I've got one with my name on it.

I'd be OK with it if they released them. My dealer mentioned they were getting two as well, but wasn't sure if the second was a customer car or their "floor model". I suspect its the demo/floor model.

Either way, I wasn't really after the "early delivery" thing, I just enjoyed the ride getting here!

how to stupid it is to punish others to reward the first 86. They should have just given the first 86 $300 discount or something instead of holding the others hostage.
It is ridiculous.

Absolutely. They'd probably feel differently if THEY would have been one of the 1st 86!

as another 1st86 winner, I dont care much for the exclusivity of getting one a few days before the general public. Id rather have exclusive PRICING or a nice limited badge + certificate. But whats done is done, Id just like to drive the damn thing already and enjoy it.

I think it's BS y'all aren't getting anything like the badge or cert or something else special with the car.

I also think it is BS they would let a new FR-S sit on the lot for a month instead of letting the owner who has already put down a deposit take delivery. Hopefully that info was not accurate.

It sounds to me "Honey Badger doesn't care" is a bit jealous of not being a First 86er. When we (the First 86) were at the Toyota museum, someone asked if the first 86 cars were going to have badges of some kind to separate them from the rest in which Jack said that they were working on something for us and even asked for our input on how it should be.

Being the first regular joe in line at my dealership, I hope this is not the case as well as they have told me what most others have been told, that we will be able to get it last week of may or first week of may.

Let us get them already!!!!!!
