Also got new air box to replace the one mechanics cracked. Accepts drop in kn filter with ease. Old box was a struggle.

My understanding was different.
Looking at ITB kits (individual throttle body) through the years, it seemed the short-stacked intake trumpets were for high-rpm power, while the longer trumpets were for low/mid-range torque.

If I recall, my original statement was in regard to carbureted v8 engines back in the good old days. I claim no knowledge or experience with itb. I have employed many a long runner Holley street dominator and strip dominator high rise intakes, and I promise you they reduced bottom end and increased top end.

That's likely due to a weird synergy the carburetors in question had with your particular intake manifold like dual plenums which do weird things to airflow based on what you stack on top. It's just due to weird antiquated designs that have strange airflow characteristics. Shorter is better for top end power and longer for low to mid torque all things being equal. When you start mixing different types and sizes of carbs with various jets with various spacers and various IMs all bets are off till you get on a dyno or have an understanding of how the airflow will acquit itself from experience.

Hi, did you remove the sound tube? Been considering this mod for a long time, but seems either the sound tube or the TRD strut bar has to go.

Remember those Spoon venturi gaskets made for Hondas in the 90s? ...I think/wonder if they really worked...maybe Crawford should've experimented with them and maybe included it in their Billet Power Block designs.

Have blocks installed but need to load correct flash. Right now low rpm response is less snappy than stge 1 oft stock. On dirt track bikes we would lengthen intake tract to soften throttle response. It's called transitory horsepower. I hope right tune does the trick.

Any idea what modifications are required to make the BPBs fit RHD vehicles?

Fitted them to my RHD a couple of weeks ago. It's fiddly if you're doing it alone, but no mods required. Read the install threads and watch the Youtube video for some tips.

Thanks Clot. I had heard otherwise from some of my local 86 group, for RHD cars.

One more question, anyone have the BPBs installed with Cusco tower strut (w/ MCB) and Cusco engine braces? Checking if any fitment issues. Thanks.
