On my last N/A car with two cats in the factory header, I used a defouler when I replaced the factory header with a single cat header. This was supposed to eliminate any CEL issues by moving the O2 sensor out of the direct path of exhaust flow. It was essentially a little 45 degree bung that came off of the O2 sensor hole. As far as people wanting to keep the air clean, or dealing with emissions like the factory header would, those are whole other issues.

That's why I left a cat in the over/downpipe, so I can get rid of that huge one in the header.

I'm continuing to wait. This is the only header worth it for this car currently. P&L follows closely behind this in performance, but this one still wins. I understand it has been a long time, but why rush something? The car has only been out for a year, barely.

I'm curious to see a dyno with this header and a tune. It makes impressive power by itself, but it seems that a tune grabs most of the capable HP of these cars (minus the obvious gain in the torque dip from the header).

The header test in the previous dyno charts was tuned with a 3" full exhaust.

was it running an ecutek tune though? I just looked on the first post and only see a full exhaust being dynoed along side the header. Maybe I missed something, i'll go back and check lol

AFAIK they have an ecutek tuner license, and the tunes were done by their in house guy.

They should rename the header the "unicorn" header, the mythical header that gives 46hp but nobody can see it.

One sec, lemme PM @Jason@Nameless and ask him to update this thread with whatever the status is. They support a rally team and this has caused them to put a hold on R&D in the past. This doesn't mean they aren't committed to providing us with top-notch parts.
