I must have gotten lucky, because I'm 3 for 3 on beautiful weather at RMP

Edit: i probably just jinxed my 4/20 event there. oh well.

What's the paddock like at ORP? Is there any covered parking or garage spots? What about power outlets? What about covered areas to hang out in between sessions?

I got spoiled having covered garages at TWS. :-\

It is similar to the Ridge. I think the building on the SE corner of the paddock has a small covered area up front. That end up of the paddock fills up fast though.

I made a last minute call to take the day off and head to RMP tomorrow since the weather is looking promising after the early morning. Can't wait!

Looks like I'll miss you guys by a day. See you out there soon.

I think I set a new PR this time...at least it's the fastest lap since I got my SoloDL. Had a ton of laps in the low 2:03s but got in a good 2:02.5.

Still not that fast, but every bit of improvement is worthwhile, right?

Nice! That's fast. What tires are you on again? Was Saturday dry? It looked packed so I opted for Friday instead despite the weather forecast.

We had a mostly damp or slightly wet day on Friday so I wasn't able to get anywhere close to my PB of 2:05. Here are some slower laps from later in the day. The track was much faster in the morning and I got around 2:06 or so. Later in the day I couldn't push much faster than 2:09 unfortunately.

I'm personally struggling with corner exits at RMP. I can't seem to confidently put the power down without the rear stepping out. I had a few somewhat confidence-shattering spins on 4/5 in the rain so I've had trouble trusting the car since then. Not sure if its me or the setup. I'd put money on the former

Quicker then my best. I figured you guys would be this year

I think a high 1:58 to 1:59 is possible on a real 200TW tire. I know looking at my 2:02.6 lap there was a bunch of time on the table.

I have new Z3's that need mounted and a 4.3FD on the way

The track was barely dampish in the morning but by 10am it was at full traction, so that was nice. Running Z3s in 245 for now, and they did pretty well. It took me a bit to get my pressures right--at one point I started pushing out on carousel, which wasn't ideal. Easy fix with a bit of lift, but yeah.

Have you tried softening your rear suspension, or stiffening the fronts? Or you could air down your rear tires a bit more. The only corner where my back end gets uncomfortably squirrely is 12, and I think it's slightly off-camber.

Uploaded some raw footage of two laps, 2:02.50 then 2:02.93. I really need to get an external mic.

EDIT: now featuring data!

I was talking with another FRS owner there who isn't active on this forums. he had a 1:59.01 with 200TW. I ghosted him for a lap so I could learn his line. He slowed down so I could keep up. LOL

I already have a softer rear suspension setting. I’ll try dropping a pound or two in the rear next time. It has been difficult to get accurate results from setup changes given the changing conditions at every event this year. One consistently sunny day would help me!

12 is loose for me too. Even in third. It’s really easy to get greedy there and start losing it.

What did you settle on for hot pressures? I was thinking 34 to start.

12 has a ridge that runs from the apex out that is more towards the exit of the corner, you can really see it if you walk the track. I usually hold maintenance throttle till I am past it before really getting on the power.
