• Sprint Booster does not increase Horsepower. • Sprint Booster does not reduce your 0-60mph times. • Sprint Booster DOES make your car 'FEEL' faster. • Sprint Booster is not for everyone.

I can't believe you could ask that question An auto with a manual mode will never let the car stall, it still behaves however like it would in a manual car starting in second letting the clutch out. It lugs and pulls slowly

People do not seem to be grasping that starting off in SNOW mode does NOT NOT NOT feel sluggish or like it is lugging. Even on a steep hill. In theory it should but in practice it feels little different to jumping off in 1st except it doesn't jump. What you get in SNOW mode is a perfectly SMOOTH and STRONG pulling-away feel, rather like you have suddenly got more torque Try it out of interest.

I had to get my FR-S with a AT in case my wife ever needed to drive it in an emergency. She did not want to learn to drive an MT. I will say this. The AT is actually the best AT i have ever driven. The manual mode actually shifts when you tell it to. In other cars I have tried there is always a delay. I love it. Still would like a MT better but its a great transmission all in all. Fun to drive.

I totally agree with you. I bought my GTS auto because the wife wanted an auto and it was the only compromise to getting the car. I’m now divorced, not because of auto vs manual haha, but I still think the auto box on this car is the best I’ve ever experienced. I have a s/c fitted and with the paddles it makes for some awesome fun, and I can honestly say that I actually find being able to change gear, when absolutely caning it, without having to take your hands off the steering wheel is in my mind far safer and smoother. Apart from the Tein Flex As and the full EDFS Active Pro I will be fitting in the next month or so, the only other upgrade I am considering it some change to the final drive, or whatever will give me a better 0-60 and 0-100 time, (when at Santa Pod of course!). Any suggestions as to the best, and preferably most economical way of doing this would be much appreciated. Cheers |
