One question for zephyr. I saw the pictures of the exhaust on the link you posted:

This is interesting, I thought they used an electrical valve, instead they used a vacuum actuated valve. So did they fit their own control system connected to the intake, running the pneumatic pipes all the way to the front of the car?
This is more expensive but also better for reliability, as there's no electrical parts close the the exhaust, just a mechanical system.
By more expensive I mean around $ 1000+ between the box with the solenoid and the remote receiver, the remote and the pneumatic valve.

The headers are a let down, and I think the power increase will be very limited...actually I think there will be a power loss:

The primaries are shorter than stock, as well as the secondary.
Plus if this is the cat:

It's very small and placed close to the engine...
Buf if I understood correctly you didn't fit the headers, just the overpiper-back system, right?

The front and centre pipe are direct pipes, right?
This means that if in the future you'll replace the headers with catless ones, you will get a very nasty metallic buzz.

Hi Gardus. Let me try to answer your questions.

1. You are 100% correct on this. Kreissieg uses a vacuum actuated valve with their control system and vacuum hose connected at the front of the car. There are no electronic components anywhere near the exhaust.

2. I don't know what the deal is with the pictures of the headers. What KSG told me was that they had no plans in developing headers for this car. The headers from the blog is not being sold on the website either. So I really can't say much about this.

3. Thanks for the note Gardus. Yes they are direct pipes. Luckily I doubt I will be going for catless headers hahah. Sigh..when will TRD make a header for this car....

4200 is about right for high end exhaust. Kreiggseg exhaust goes for 10k+ on high end cars. I spent 4200 on Eisemann axle back exhaust for my F10 M5 alone.

Exhaust on my M3 retails 11k. It's nice not having the same set up as 20 other cars. Pay to play!

Thanks for your comment. I agree haha. But the good news is, for those who are interested in one, it's around $3200 at the moment (more expensive with titanium tips). So basically its $1000 cheaper than mine haha. Price to pay for being the first one with this exhaust along with special request custom quad tips i guess.

But you know a majority of normal people that don't have disposable income, will spend no more than $800 on a full exhaust system.

So basically I'm saying, if you think $4200USD is worth it for an exhaust if it gives you the sound you are seeking for and makes you happy, then go for it.

But in my personal opinion, I'd rather get a SuperCharger or Turbo kit for that type of money.

$2500 on a m7 exhaus? Your smoking crack for that price I got mine for exactly half that I couldn't be more than happy. It's about what makes you happy in the long run and if it posseses the exhaust note you desire and you obviously have made the point money is no object so go for it. But honestly I think the m7 sounds as good if not better and one third the cost. My catback makes power too it's not just a noise maker and its half the weight of OEM.

He's referring to his E9x M3 with the Eisenmann exhaust. Akrapovic is very nice quality.

X2 I wished more of the euro company will produce the set for our twin.

I bought meisterschaft for my E55, simply because they are the only vendor that offer the s65 style tail pipes.

akrapovic, eissenman, meisterscaft is the best 3 "affordable" system in term of sound VS the other big boy brands such tubi, quicksilver, kressieg and the like.
