Hey, thanks for the reply! Do you think the 225 will stretch too much for the wheel? I've personally never had to try and tuck a wheel and tire into such a small area haha. I'm considering not even getting the wheels if they won't fit neatly.

The car has a ton of room. You just need suspension parts to fit larger wheels. There are guys running 18x10 all around on stock body cars. Check it out.

After reading your response, I'd look through here and get some ideas on what you like, then go from there. It has almost every wheel that forum members have tried.

These threads were super helpful! Thank you man. Sorry for the noob questions, I'm fairly new to the forums. It is a big overwhelming at first.

IDK if I am the guy to answer this, because I don't track my car.

Tirerack says that the TOYO R888R is available in 275/35/18, has a tread width of 10.5, and weighs 27lbs. This is a huge tire. I would think that you would want it on a 18x10 or wider wheel. Anyway, there is tons of info about how to fit 265/35/18's (and larger) in this thread.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41083

You will rub in the rear on the bumper tab. (till it is gone or you shave it)

This thread has 275/35/18s on a 18x10. But the MPSS tire only has a tread width of 9.6"
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...t=95645&page=2

You can see different size tires on 10.5" wheels in this thread.

Keep reading and post your question(s) in a Track thread or the Meaty tire thread. Guys that have this style of setup will more likely read your post there.

Good luck!

Appreciate the info, I have already been searching non stop this past week and couldnt find any info on that exact setup. I already run 265 tires in the back now, but im staggered. Fine for the street but I want a better setup for the track. Wanted to move up to 275, which I know a couple people are running but I dont think they have a +38 offset. I need more meat to keep traction with the power im running.

You most likely wouldn't notice a difference between 265s and 275s as far as traction goes. That's a small amount of difference. I'm running 265s squared and it's probably the widest you can go without needing to do a bit more modification.

If you absolutely need more, just know you may need to pull or roll fenders, shave down bumper tabs, etc. You'll also lose the ability to go full lock on steering without rubbing inside. This is the reason I stayed at 265 squared - none of the above issues and it works very well.

I guess it's caused by the stretching.

Tires are doing well, about 2k on them on the new wheels.

Stock tires are supposed to fit fine on 17x8. I would look at other causes than the stretch.

I will be shopping for new tires in the next week, my car is lowered on eibach pro kit (stock struts) and wheels are 17x8 +25. 235/45 will rub? Or im in safe side with 225/45? Link for fitment calc doesnt work, that's why asking before pull the trigger
