If you're thinking of getting a twin at this point, I'd suggest finding a clean used example as opposed to buying new, especially if Canadian. A 2013 with 140000 kms can be found for asking price $12k CAD in the GTA, so I feel like you should be able to talk them down to 10k. Of course, if you want to avoid the known first year issues, you can find a 2014/15 for a few thousand more which is what I'd recommend.

I never really understood the appeal of 2 door hot hatches. Why make it difficult to access the rear seats?

once they hit $5k, i'm getting one for a daily toy. that will turn into a track toy, and then i'll get another to use as a daily toy, until i get bored and take it to a track, and then...
